The warning is right there in the description... you'll never want to leave! This was the first time we felt like we could have spent our whole vacation at the rental and been completely content. Spectacular views, beautifully designed and very well-appointed home, clean... just a flawless, relaxing stay. Thank you!

Peaceful & Perfect!!

We loved our stay in this beautiful, secluded oceanfront cottage! The home had everything we needed and the view was absolutely amazing! Stewart's Grocery & Takeout had great takeout pizza and groceries. We enjoyed lovely maple cortados at the Milkhouse Cafe south of Machias, and fantastic lobster bisque at the Public House. Eastport, Lubec, and Pembroke are all an easy drive away. We also enjoyed Lunch on the Wharf in Corea. An unforgetable stay in an unforgettable location.

Very Special Place!

This property is everything and then some. We had a wonderful week of pure Maine beauty all around us. Bring binoculars!! We watched the seals everyday and even had a couple deer in the back yard one evening. Peaceful, beautiful, and the house has everything you need. We will definitely return to this property!

Perfect Downeast Cottage

The cottage by the seas is amazing. Amazing location and proximity to the beach. House was very clean and well equipped with almost everything to make our stay perfect. Only two recommendations for future enhancements, the house is advertised for 6 people but dining area only seats four and, it would be awesome to have an outside dining area.

Fantastic Week on the Ocean

Best family vacation we have had. House was stunning with views of the ocean and islands throughout the main living room. Wrap around porch gave all the views you could ever want. Seals, loons and lobster boats a plenty. Could not have asked for a better place to stay on this wonderful family vacation.

Perfect Fall beach destination

Loved everything. Comfy beds, great kitchen, plenty of seating for family. Location was perfect as well. Wrap around deck had the best views of the ocean. It was exactly what we hoped for

We are coming back!

This was a perfect week for an older mom and adult son to spend quality time together. Two floors provided each with privacy. Kitchen is great for cooking together. Although the house was perfect it is just a house unless you mention the 180’ view of the Gulf of Maine. We were able to watch the sun rise. Moonrise , sunset and even moonset if you were awake. Then there is the beach a few steps away!! A gorgeous view, a beautiful home. Already made reservations for next year!

Amazing Views

Amazing location and views allowing for some rest and relaxation in the quiet coastal town of Jonesport. We loved sitting on the porch watching the lobster boats pass by and exploring for treasures along the beach. Great spot - we hope to be back.

Family Trip

The location couldn’t be better! The house is steps from the beach and the sand is perfect for sand castle building. Our family of 4 with two children under 7, along with our lab mix, had an amazing time. We all loved swimming and it was easy to hose off outside. The house was well appointed with everything we needed and was very comfortable. There were ocean views out almost every window. Machias isn’t too far for groceries and a trip to Helen’s restaurant. If you have young children, we would suggest bringing a few plastic plates, bowls and cups. We asked about beach towels and chairs and they were brought over before we Even showed up - very responsive hosts! Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect relaxation

We just finished a wonderful week at this amazing beach house. It is exactly as described! We enjoyed walking out to the private beach, watching the lobster boats drive past from the deck, and being surrounded by the beauty that this part of Maine offers. We were able to explore the coast line and by lobster directly from the boat at a nearby wharf. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxing and healing weekend in our favorite place.

Relaxing Quiet Getaway

The house was beautiful and exactly as pictures show. Be prepared for complete seclusion. Besides neighbor next door we only saw one person on the beach the entire week. Loved watching the lobster boats go out and come in each day. Small local grocery store and pizza restaurant. Need to travel 30 minutes or more for restaurant. If you want an escape from the day to day grind it is a perfect location.

Semaine de repos fin juin 2024

Superbe chalet très près de la mer. Fenestration et grande galerie qui permettent de profiter de la vue de la mer et ce, même par temps de pluie. Visite faite avec 2 chiens de grande taille, chalet parfait pour eux également. Seul hic c’est qu’il n’y a vraiment pas grand chose à Jonesport, plus proche épicerie à 22 minutes d’auto. Très propre et très beau chalet!

Gorgeous location

A great location on the Maine coast. Private beach and 180 views. Watching the lobster boats going and returning was so interesting. The cottage was very clean and well appointed. Definitely would like to return.

Another amazing stay at this spectacular home!

This was our second stay and we loved it even more! The views of the beach, ocean and other islands are outstanding and unobstructed. The beds and all furniture were so comfortable. Such a convenient location - Each day we did a different day trip to a different corner of the Bold Coast to access beaches and coastal Mountain View’s. We always looked forward to Coming back to the house at the end of the day for a relaxing sunset viewing. This house and location on the private beach are a perfect getaway! We loved it!

Heaven in Maine

Elegant simplicity in decoration because with windows everywhere the owner knows the view steals the show!! Ultra clean and timeless-there is only everything to like! If you need to relax and remind yourself how beautiful our USA coastline is-come here! Host has the best communication of any VRBO we've been in! Thank you!

Priceless views

This was our second stay in the cottage in Jonesport and it was just as spectacular as before. If you are an early riser you can watch the fishermen head out for the day while enjoying the sunrise. We typically spent the day hiking and returned to see the sun set (there is a good view both east and west with the reach dead ahead) and cook diinner in the well equipped kitchen. The house is comfortable and high tech, with a gracious and accommodating host. Be prepared for mosquitoes on the ground and beach if it has been raining. We visited after Lee spawned a new generation of them but when there was a stiff breeze they were not a problem. A one-of-a kind setting for experiencing Down East.

Wonderful cottage in Maine

The experience was great, communication was perfect. Not only with the owner but also with a property manager who offered assistance in anything that we might need during our stay. House was perfect, well stocked and very clean. Views of the ocean were breathtaking. We had a great time and really enjoyed this rental. I highly recommend it. Owner was super nice and went beyond offering us a free stay during hurricane Lee. Thank you.
