Getaway in the Trees

Woodlands Gardens is located near Magaliesberg. The accomodation was clean and well looked after. The common areas i.e. the pool was very nice. The owners have very friendly dogs and our dogs were welcomed and enjoyed it very much. Locates close to many hiking areas and restaurants. The owners are friendly and have good communication with guests. A little on the priciers side for what you are getting but still a great weekend away.

Nice stay with lovely hosts

The Kingfisher lodge easily fitted our 8 guests and was fine for our requirements. Although the interior was a little dated it was more than made up for by Joe and Lorraine (the owners) who were lovely and very accommodating. Their collection of animals were also very popular with our family. A really nice stay and a perfect location for a family gathering. Nice facilities and services (like free dvds) offered.

Middle of nowhere

If you just want to go to a real rustic place away from everybody in the middle of nowhere, this is the place to go. Bring enough bug spray for mosquitoes, wasps, and bees. The pool is there, but nobody was using it because it did not look appealing at all. This place needs a lot of maintenance and the high rate they charge does not match the place. The nearest shopping center is 10 Kilometers away.
