The room as not very clean. The shower had mold and was not clean. On the floor there was yelling in the halls and partying until 4 in the morning. The staff did nothing about this. The noise and chaos began again at 8 AM. My luggage was stowed while I was away for a couple of weeks. Upon return they could not find my luggage. It took 20 minutes to find it. It was not tagged properly. I would not stay here again. The price was good, but it was not restful and caused me stress.

From we arrived the front desk reception evening staff 23rd july made us fell welcome. The gentlemen who worked with Monalisa upon our arived and the other gentlemen that worked with here during Saturday shift were outstanding. In fact the entire reception staff were great. Lets not forget the ladies at the dinning area including the lady who assist me with getting a local mtn food card without her assistance were dead in the water phone wise. The housekeeping shorter house keeping lady with plaits in her hair that worked our floor room #355 went beyound her responsibilty to ensure our room was in order. Mr Elias who assist us with getting around was outstanding. The shuttle driving who worked the evening shift upon our arrival at the airport on 23rd july 2025 and departure on the afternoon of 30th july was great, he did not leave in fact he came looking for us when we were late returning from the airport foriegn exchange. The entire staff at the resort made our 8000 mile trip there memoriable. We have stayed at many hotels around the world and without a doubt this was our best. Thanks everyone from Mr and Mrs. Knowles. Even the local Mcdonalds down the street were great.

Water for the bath tab was discolored. Gate gaurd - Would not let me leave as I did not have an exit pin - I do not have a local number hence the fact I could not recieve the pin - he then continued to argue with me were all he had to do was just scan the license plate and my driver's license again so I could leave this being that I just encountered him 20 minutes earlier to check in.

Good experience

The staff was extremely friendly and professional. Check in was easy and fast. The room was comfortable. We didn’t pre pay for breakfast but it was not a problem we could purchase it every morning from the hotel directly. We had dinner also and it was very good.

Stayed two separate nights, twice in 10 days at the Holiday Inn; as I arrived and after a week upcountry. Excellent shuttle from the airport (though a description of how to find it would be useful, half past the hour from the airport/on the hour to the airport). Staff were happy, polite, engaging and very helpful. My room was clean, easily acessible both via stairs and lift. Every basic amenity provided. Plentiful hot water in both bath and shower. Extra blankets in the chair was a nice touch. Room service was swift and delicious, though no price list included for drinks (minor detail!). I had breakfast included: a massive choice available, catering for all tastes. My favourite was the smiley faces on the boiled eggs! I did not use the swimming pool or any other facilities, but they all looked well managed. I would definitely stay here again. Many thanks to the utterly charming team at the IHG Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport hotel. 11/10!!

From the time we were picked up in the van at the airport, the customer service was absolutely off the charts! We had first stayed in a different chain/hotel so our expectations were low based on that experience. Let’s just say from having cold water and wi-fi in the van- all the way to the breakfast buffet bringing a hot latte- nothing could have been done better. South Africa is not particularly safe (according to the residents) but they were even willing to walk with us to the bank around the corner to take out money from the ATM! Phenomenal! We will stay again if ever our travels take us to SA!
