Residence Inn Jersey City was perfect! The hotel rooms are so clean, nice and spacious, great air conditioning, and wonderful amenities. My brother and I had individual suites and the kitchen portion was so nice to have. Whole Foods is 2 streets away on Christopher Columbus Dr. Perfect to stock up on items to take in the hotel for your travels. The train station is next door on Marin BLVD with 13 minute access to Manhattan. Super convenient! Restaurants in Jersey City on Newport Ave I recommend are Two Boots, Orale, Mathew’s Food and Drink, Basile’s Pizza, Bang Cookies, Van Leeuwen, and Downtown Yogurt. Amazing! Beautiful ocean views about 6 blocks away from hotel with all of Manhattan Skyline as the view. The complimentary breakfast was great with an urban view of the city. Newport and Exchange place are close by with great amenities. Grove ST was very close by with shops and restaurants having beautiful Brownstone Walkups everywhere. Great mix of city and old world history charm. Had a great time! 10/10 This place will be the go-to anytime I’m in Jersey City!

Went on a 2 week trip to see NYC. This hotel was excellent. Everything from checking in to getting into the suite/room was easy and worry free. Staff was on point everyday and if we ever needed anything they took care of us (towels or room clean). Rooms were very nice and clean. I am picky where I stay and I found this place was a 10 out of 10. I chose this spot because it’s a Marriott and underneath the building is the Path station subway for easy access to the city and there is a large grocery store right next door for anything you would need on a trip. I found that the AC was a lifesaver for the trip (August)

Had a great experience during my stay. The General Manager, John Pascali, and associate Ty were exceptionally courteous and went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. The location is fantastic, and the breakfast was delicious with a good variety. Overall, a very pleasant and memorable stay — highly recommended!

Average. Didn't tick enough boxes despite cost.

Mixed bag - small rooms, noisy part of town, poor shower pressure, and sofa bed only suitable for one night cap off a very average stay. Room was clean enough; nothing obvious to be concerned about. Breakfast was surprisingly very good. Staff were mediocre in their reception, but it seems to be a trait of some, experienced across the east coast. Close to some better than average restaurants, but the neighbourhood is not somewhere i'd like to return to (more then rough around the edges!).
