Curaçao birthday trip

The house itself is exceptional! Photos are only half the story, in person the home is 1000x better. Great location, quiet community. The check-in process left more to be desired…the communication was poor and as international travelers with limited cellphone service, it was frustrating to not have check in instructions until 1.5 hours before check in time. All communication is through the housekeeper and not the host, which is ok but worth noting. Had an issue with ants in the upstairs bathroom during our stay. The speakers in the living room are a great touch for a pool day. Overall our group enjoyed the stay and would book again!

Girls Trip

Don’t be fooled by the pictures of this property! The owners and property managers should do a much better job considering the cost. The upstairs bathroom has an awful smell. There is mold all in this bathroom. I tried reaching out to the owner about this, because it made my allergies go crazy. However, no response because they already had their money. We tried everything to get rid of it, but just had to deal with it throughout the stay. The other bathroom has ants crawls throughout the bathroom. We had to contact the property managers because there was no hot water. It was not an urgent matter to them. I had to reach out twice. We put a tarp over the couch that’s how dirty it was. The linen on the beds are white and disgusting, so bring your own. The pool hadn’t been cleaned only good for taking pictures. The outside trashcan was overflowing with trash from previous guests. Think twice before booking!

Beautiful villa, but major issues and poor communication

I stayed at this villa from March 19–23 to celebrate my birthday. While the property itself is beautiful, our experience was overshadowed by several issues that significantly affected our stay.When we arrived, the trash was full and overflowing, and it wasn’t picked up until the next day. Soon after, we discovered the refrigerator wasn’t working—right after we spent 400 on groceries. It wasn’t repaired until the following afternoon, by which point all our food had spoiled. This disrupted our plans and delayed my birthday celebration.Additionally, the hot water and Wi-Fi both stopped working on separate occasions for two days. Some of the lights also went out, as they were connected to the same fuse. These outages made it difficult to shower, communicate, or even relax comfortably in the home.Throughout all of this, I was in constant contact with the house manager, who repeatedly downplayed the severity of the issues and belittled our concerns. Despite promising to speak with the owner, she never followed up. I had to reach out to the owner myself. While he did issue a 300 refund toward the spoiled groceries, no further compensation was offered for the other major disruptions.This villa has potential, but the lack of upkeep, poor communication, and lack of accountability made for a very disappointing stay. I hope future guests have a better experience and that management takes these concerns more seriously.

Curacao Birthday Trip

Beautiful property for an amazing vacation. The pool and backdrop made for wonderful photos. The property was a short walk to the beach and market, plenty of space for friends/family, and a nice pool! Really no complaints (maybe add locks to the bedroom/bathroom doors)

Fijn vakantiehuis vlakbij Jan Thiel

Luxe vakantiewoning van alle gemakken voorzien en met royaal zwembad. Op loopafstand van AH supermarkt en Jan Thiel strand. Paar zaken om even rekening mee te houden. Ik zou hier niet snel met kleine kinderen gaan zitten ivm gebrek aan valbeveiliging (zwembad, zitkuil, trap). Namiddag is er buiten weinig schaduwplek. Zeezicht is alleen vanaf het dakterras waar je eigenlijk niet komt. Maar je ziet elke dag zoveel zee dat dat helemaal geen gemis is. Al met al een fijne plek met prima support. Storing aan de gate was zelfde dag nog verholpen en altijd binnen het uur reactie via whatsapp.
