A Wonderful End to Summer

What a beautiful cottage. We were seeking one more restful weekend before summer ended and the school year began. The cottage was just perfect and the views unmatched. We will be back to enjoy this very special property.

Perfect property for our weekend at Lake Martin

It exceeded allExpectations- highly recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful property with spectacular views of the lake and plenty of spots to sit out and enjoy the views. Peace & tranquility

We were there in early in the spring just before the boating season and as a result the lake was very calm and quiet. The home is beautiful and the kitchen was well equipped with everything needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. Cottage in the treetops isn't an exaggeration. The hills in that area are impressive. We strongly recommend this for home for quite vacation or an exciting day on the lake.

Great stay

Lovely place. Secluded, quiet, water front. Enjoyed being in touch with nature. Everything as described. Excellent communication with owner. Definitely recommend. Would love to go back during summer time and enjoy kayaking n other water sports.

Tranquil

Beautiful property. This cabin was perfect for our family. It is pretty and so comfortable. It’s surrounded by beautiful woods with abundant wildlife. The boat dock on the Lake is awesome. The Lake is spectacular and that dock is the perfect place to take it all in. We will definitely be back for another visit. Property owner was very responsive.

Pictures don't do it justice!

I have friends in Alex City (20min from Jackson's Gap), so I booked this listing to give everyone the privacy of their own space (vs us staying with them during our visit). It was awesome to have such a peaceful place to rest and relax after my 6h drive. My teenager doesn't enjoy water, but likes the view and scenery of it. My 9yo absolutely loved everything about everything and took MULTIPLE outdoor showers. My friends came to visit and spent time with us in the lake and got to see parts of Lake Martin they don't usually get to see, even as locals. Overall, we all had a lovely time together. I would like to note... when the listing says "STEEP", they mean it! The driveway down is borderline scary and the steps to the deck are an absolute nightmare for weak knees. Other than that, we really didn't have any issues or complaints. Hosts were responsive and pleasant.

Everything was outstanding! Beautiful decor, kitchen well supplied with upscale items and appliances……challenges for us were 60 plus stairs down to the dock. Difficult to launch kayaks due to stairs. Tight parking space.

Beautiful Lake Retreat

My husband and I made a quick 2 night stay to explore Lake Martin based on a recommendation from a family friend. An avid user of VRBO when we travel, we found this gem that exceeded our needs from well appointed living, comfortable outdoor space, beautiful views, a dock with space to have a boat. I had to work several hours and was able to do so comfortably with hi speed internet and a view of the water. Our hosts were gracious, provided recommendations and were very responsive. We can’t thank them enough. Two couples would be very comfortable in the space or a small family. I know we will return and look forward to renting this special spot for longer in the future.
