Good hotel w helpful service. 40TL fare from SAW..

A brief stay here before an early flight out of SAW airport. The service was very good.. They helped guide our taxi driver there when he couldn't find it and were outside to receive us when we finally arrived. Not as close to the airport as indicated.

Personnel took great care ofus at Pendik Residence

Pendik Residence personnel took great care of us when we stayed there. Directed us to good places around, ordered us delicious food from outside. The location of the hotel is nice, because it is a short walk to the coast and coast road.

Good renovation, fabulous view

Location, fabulous view, big balcony, large bed are the positive features. Staff was very helpful. Room was chic and quite clean. It was a short drive to Sabiha Airport. Why not build a roof cafe to have a drink on the top?

Peaceful not party-ful

This is the place to stay if you prefer a calm, peaceful hotel to relax. Garden and seaview is spectacular. We chatted with the staff for an hour, they are so friendly and helpful. Recommended, if you are not looking for a party house. By the way it took just 15min to Sabiha Gokcen airport.

Good for a travelling family

I was a bit skeptical to visit Pendik Residence. But it turned out to be an excellent place to stay with my family. While I was away for business during day, my wife and kids spent time in the lovely swimming pool and green garden. Personnel are friendly and sincere, although not all speak fluent English. Our room had an equipped kitchenette, it helps when you are traveling with kids. Good location close to industrial area and especially Sabiha Gokcen SAW airport.

Excellent seaview and environment

Suite room is my favourite. Because I love to sit in the balcony and enjoy not only seaview, but also stars at night. I am glad to see rooms went through renovation in recent months. Decoration is tasteful. Staff welcomes me always with a warm smile on the face. This is a peaceful and relaxing property for me, who do not like noise, smog, turmoil of the city centre. Recommended.

Great hotel for Family!!!

I have been here several time, I can say with confidence that this hotel is worth each bucks. The staff is very helpful and pleasant and the condition of the room was perfect. If you are looking for a quit place away to enjoy the Asian side of Istanbul this is the place to be!!!!!!

Cold shower, closed reception. Stay away

The Marmara is a well known brand in Turkey. This hotel strongly underpins this image. Location is not so bad if all you want is to be close to the airport. Otherwise it is secluded and insecure. This is really not a hotel, but rather a motel. Rooms open to the outside. The hotel was deserted with a couple of visitors even in summertime. Even then, they said that our rooms were standard room and put us in the basement rooms. I could see people's feet as they pass in front of our window. My morning shower was under cold water. I went to the reception to check out at 7 in the morning. It was locked and I just left the keys on the curb. All in all, BEWARE.

Disappointment. Wouldn't stay twice.

Didn't receive the room requested on our booking sheet which didn't inc. a kitchen. Restaurants and shopping centres were 6kms away. Hotel isn't situated close to public transport or any points of interest making it difficult to get around. Staff spoke broken English but travellers shouldn't depend on them for information or assistance. Stayed for 4 nights but room wasn't cleaned during this time. Don't expect to receive the same as what you booked. Didn't receive any help when trying to resolve problems with staff.

This hotel is a no-start-hotel. It says 4,5 stars, don't get confused by the ad. After seeing the exterior of the hotel building, many people would decide to leave even before getting in and looking around. Stay away..!!

The hotel room was comfortable and clean. This is actually not a hotel. There is no restaurant or bar with no option for this close to the hotel. Breakfast is very expensive and not worth the money. A taxi ride is needed to travel even to a local shop. This will cost around 10-15TL.

Do not stay here!!!! It is a fairly new hotel residence and it is already falling apart. And it is in an unsafe area. The air conditioning system made so much noise, I didn't sleep at all and checked out after one night (without a refund for the second booked night, thank you very much). And, they served a horrible breakfast and charged me something like 16 Euros. What a rip off.
