It was a fine hotel, about a 10 minute walk from tge main bustling area of town. The staff spoke mainly Japanese only, but were super helpful despite the language barrier. Breakfast was good rather tgan excellent, as was the hotel in general.

The hotel has 7 floors but only one elevator. It's always packed. There are signs to wear madks inside the hotel but many guests do not follow this request. When I complained to the staff to please ask these people to put on a mask, they apologized but did nothing. I don't want to get in the packed elevator with people without masks. There is zero social distancing in the lobby. Even though the rooms are ready earlier, the staff follows the rules and refuses to check in guests early. They can check in early but it costs 1000 yen per hour. So the lobby is gets very crowded with incoming guests who just wait around, some without masks on. Despite supposedly enhanced cleaning, the bathroom was dirty. The sink was grimy and there was black mold growing around the bathtub. The only enhancement was the air purifier in the room. My floor was supposed to be non smoking, but guests in other rooms were smoking, so that's another "rule" that the hotel is mot enforcing. Also, the bed was super uncomfortable, probably the worst hotel bed I've ever slept in. The internet was fast and stable, there is a convenience store right across the street, and the hotel is near the ferry terminal. These are the only good points.

Shuttle bus , free parking and public bath services are very good. The free WiFi is totally inadequate ; they replied due to the extensively use. I haven’t connected it throughout my 5-day stay. The staffs are nice and helpful.

Acceptable

An acceptable hotel for a couple of days. Had a washing machine which was really useful as this was the end of a longer trip. Location wise not right in the middle of the action but an easy walk to the ferry terminal and restaurants. They make you tell them the day before if you want housekeeping ... which I did... and then which didn’t happen which was pretty irritating but I wasn’t in the mood to follow up.

Convenient and clean

Not too far from city centre, within walking distance. Breakfast is very good. If you want your room cleaned, you need to tell them the night before. There are plenty of clean towels in the lobby for guests to take. I will come back.

It's good, but not great

The rooms are small, but clean. A/C and decent view, but a little bit outside the center of the city. That said, it's good value, and if you're going to be spending most of your days exploring the other islands like we did, it doesn't make much of a difference. The spa isn't big, but nice to come back to soak before bed. Had the buffet breakfast one morning, but glad we didn't pre-pay for the rest of our stay. Better to go out and grab something in town on your way to the ferry.

Well priced hotel in a quiet location

The hotel is a good 10 -15 min walk to downtown area/ferry terminal in a quiet part of town. Room was spacious and hotel has its own onsen which was a bonus. Free shuttle service to and from airport very handy. Hotel put on lunch and dinner (for a small cost) when we were stranded by a typhoon and were unable to go out.

Good only for a night, but not longer

A good place for the solo traveller if you're planning to stay for no longer than 2 nights. After 2 nights, the hotel will NOT provide room service. So if you want your room cleaned or fresh towels, you'll need to contact the front desk the day before. Also, the main building where you check in/out is separate from the building where you stay. Unfortunately, they're not connected so you'll need to walk outside. A little inconvenient. Another small thing is that the shower is very weak. The water feels almost like mist. I feel like I could shower faster with the sink instead. Aside from all of those things, it's in a quiet area of town, but it's a little dark. A convenience store is just across so it's easy to grab breakfast for the next day. A park is nearby for those who want to go for a run or a quiet walk. A public bath is available in the main building for those who are interested. Because it's in a quiet area, it's about a 10-minute walk to get to the bus or ferry terminal (7 minutes if you walk quickly). Overall, it's a nice place for those who stay for a night or two, or just need someplace quiet.
