Breathtaking Views, Quality Stay

Amazing location, views, and accomodations. The bed was super comfy and the AC was efficient. This must be the most convenient property on the island for visitors - it's only a few steps away from the ferry dock. I'd stay again in a heartbeat.

Great room with a small but nice and well kept garden area, The rooms were clean, decorated well with attention to detail. Great island and the hotel is very well located. Very friendly and hospitable owners. I would most definitely return.

Perfect location

Not only is this hotel in the perfect location less than a block off the harbor it has upscale decor nicer beds and wonderful sitting areas outside. And a jacuzzi sauna and workout equipment

Hotel owner met us at the port when our boat arrived. The rooms are spacious and clean and well located. There are deck chairs and a large dinner table situated on a stone ledge with amazing views of the port along with a hot tub and sauna.

Island of Hydra

Upon arrival to this lovely island we were exhausted from our trip and ready to relax. Peter, who is the owner and host went above and beyond to accommodate our getting to the apartment flawlessly - we didn't have to lift a finger, just get settled and begin our much anticipated enjoyment of Hydra!

Very nice place to stay in Hydra

Porta del Mare is close to the port, restaurants museums and shops. It is up a long unlit steep flight of stairs. There are four units in all and several levels of common outside gardens one of which had a broken jacuzzi.

Wonderful stay

We spent 2 weeks traveling in Greece. This is a great time to travel as the beaches are as beautiful as ever and the Greek people as hospitable as ever. Traveling in Greece is easy and right now you can get more bang for your buck. This guest house in Hydra has everting you want. The location is very convenient, very close from the harbor and restaurants. The guest house is tastefully decorated with amazing views, a hot tub and a sauna. You can tell that someone has put a lot of thought making sure that you have a successful stay. Peter (manager) is very kind and Claudia (cleaning staff) is very helpful. Peter has a store close to the guest house where you can always find him. I recommend enjoying breakfast at Skipper Café and watching the small but bustling harbor of Hydra or taking a boat to the many beaches in Hydra. I highly recommend this guest house and will definitely return.

Perfect spot to land on Hydra.

Everything was wonderful! Great guest suite with tiny kitchenette. So close to the main part of town yet very peaceful. Only issue was the shower leaked out all over the bathroom floor. And the bath towels and rugs definitely need to be replaced. Overall a great vacation.

Steps to the Harbor

The hotel is unique and charming. We were there in April and it was a bit early for the terrace. The hotel porch is 40-50 feet from the harbor front and it's many cafés and outdoor seating. Beautiful location. The rooms are unique with a bedroom loft. Furniture is new and the beds are comfortable. Hydra is a charming location.
