Family getaway

The Houghton House was perfect our summer getaway! Lots of space and we loved the location on the channel. We enjoyed the well stocked kitchen for our family meals and had several lovely evenings on the patio with a fire. The home is very family friendly…. We appreciated the baby gates, toys and kid friendly dishes. Our group of 8 adults and 2 kiddos was super comfortable with plenty of comfy bedrooms. One of the best equipped rentals we have ever stayed in!

Absolutely Perfect

Not enough words to describe how wonderful this property is! Dealing with the property management was by far the easiest part of the whole process. Pictures don’t do the house and surrounding areas justice. I’ve stayed in many VRBO’s and this was by far the best. I will definitely be going back.

Amazing Property

This is a beautiful home on the canal. The house is clean and comfortable. The hosts provide amenities that add value to your stay. Everything in the home from the dishes and cutlery to the beds are high quality. Would stay here again without hesitation or any other property run by these hosts. They communicated back immediately when I had a question, the little extras they provide to their guests were thoughtful and pleasant, overall, these hosts take pride in sharing this property and it shows.

The Perfect Stay for a 60th Birthday Celebration

Our family of 11 really enjoyed the Houghton House. It was the perfect trip to celebrate my Dad's 60th birthday. The yard was plenty spacious for games and we really enjoyed sitting around the fire, as it got pretty chilly in the evenings. We ended up using the kitchen for every meal during our week stay and it was nearly stocked with everything we needed! I would recommend more kitchen towels and maybe some dish rags/sponges/brushes. Other than that, everything else was perfect!
