I think you should consider shuttles from HNL airport. It should be 24 hours. With plane delays, a traveler could arrive after midnight and the airport is “closed”providing no assistance to very tired travelers. As first time travelers to Hawaii, we had no idea a shuttle wasn’t offered and had no idea how to get to the hotel. So also a first time traveler information pamphlet sent when booking, would have been helpful. This could include places to eat, things to know, things to bring and things available in your hotel. I used the QR code in the room I booked and was excited about the daily activities provided such as crafts. I went downstairs to find the room and was told (after I asked), that was not at this outrigger. There are apparently several and we weren’t told if we could go do the activities at the different locations. Also, didn’t know outrigger provided an umbrella. We asked on a rainy day after seeing someone with one. I feel like the traveler shouldn’t have to ask about common things. If the clerks are too busy to tell each person all the amazing things they provide at the outrigger, a paper should be on the desk. For as beautiful as your hotel is, the rooms where the ice machines are located were not even painted, they were hot and only one person allowed in at a time with no table to set my cups on (I was in charge of 3 travelers’cups in my family) really limited me.
The staff was friendly at checking and check out. Not really any complaints just suggestions.
