The place was ok & the fishing village was wonderful. The host invited me to share some dinners with his family & I thought that they were being kind, but in the end he said that I owed him money for the food. I wound up trading him for the two nights that I had paid for, but wasn’t there. I had to stay in Danang the 1st night because the speed boat to & from the island only goes in the early morn & I had to leave a day early because of a storm coming & no boat running. When I booked through Expedia, it offered & I accepted airfare from Hanoi- Turns out that the airport is in Danang & then you have to get from there to a dock terminal outside of Hoi An & pay for the boat & reverse it all on the return. Getting there & back cost way more than the home stay, but the simple, quiet island time was a highlight of my whole Vietnam experience.
