The apartments was great and had all that we needed for an overnight stay for 3 adults. The negatives were that the entrance to the apartment was outside and up a flight of uncovered stairs which was not good in the rain. Also the bistro had a sign that it was open from 8am to 10pm but it was not open for breakfast. It was difficult finding anywhere open for breakfast in the area.

This is a nice, comfortable apartment that just needs a little more attention to detail to make it a 5/5. For example, all the important stuff was clean, but things like the inside of the kitchen drawers/inside of the bathroom window were slightly sticky/dirty. We had a lot of trouble getting the door to lock and unlock, especially from the outside; we figured out a method, but it was a 2-person job! The blinds let in a lot of light, which in mid-May was not ideal as it never quite gets dark at night. But overall we enjoyed our stay, and enjoyed walking around the town.

This was an excellent and well kept apartment. We were able to eat dinner at Z Bistro just below our apartment. There's Ósland, a park in town where we were able to watch the Northern Lights and enjoy beautiful views.

Nice shared B&B. Very courteous house rules (remove shoes). We had a family room with room for 5. I didn't realize that you get a bedroom within a house and shared bathrooms. There are 2 bathrooms with showers, which got a bit busy. But the place itself is very tidy and had nice people/guests. There is breakfast available for an extra charge on-site (kids are free).

It is a very good place to stop . the apartment is very spacious very comfortable. Has a lot of amenities. The manager is very nice. Downstairs they have a very good restaurant that has a lot of selection on different foods. I would recommend this place. Important to know is when you’re checking out you should leave the key in the room

This property needs some work. The arrival and check-in went well but the rest left a lot to be desired. Multiple attempts to communicate about services in the area prior to arrival were not answered. The pots and pans needed to be cleaned before use. There was neither a can opener nor a bottle opener available. A number of items were broken (toaster, bathroom mirror) and the coffee table was about to fall apart. There were no blackout curtains on half of the room, making sleeping in June problematic. The worst problem, though, was the noise. The apartment is over a restaurant and next to and across from two more units. We had trouble getting to sleep with the inside and outside noise at 10PM and were awakened at 2AM with revelers coming back from their night out. Taken separately an individual fault could be let slide but overall the experience was poor and as such I cannot recommend this property.

The apartment was clean and well-kept. It had also been recently renovated, and as a result, the rooms appear modern and new. The kitchen has all the amenities needed to cook properly. We did need to check in with the bistro downstairs, which is something future renters should keep in mind. The service was very friendly. It was one of the most impressive we’ve ever experienced. My daughter forgot her toiletries bag in the apartment, and we were unable to return for it. After notifying the owners, they went above and beyond and drove all the way out to Reykjavík to meet with us and return the toiletry bag to us. We’re very grateful for the amount of time and effort they put into helping us. This was an amazing experience for us!

Place was newly renovated, and very nice inside. Good views of the mountains but its in an industrial area so immediate surrounds aren't so scenic. Place has roll down blinds but they are translucent where the 2nd bed is and a bit darker in the bedroom; both of which aren't good enough to block out the summer midnight light. I had to get some help to operate the TV; it seems there is a subscription service for lots of channels that is there but not available for some reason; thus only two channels available which is very poor for this type of apartment. This should be fixed. The new renovation is very nice but the window frames should also have been replaced as they are showing signs of wear. The master bedroom got very hot when the sun rose at 4AM; had to open windows. This place got the full sunrise as its upstairs.

Great apartment. Beds and bedding will need a facelift. Lot of bugs in the house during our stay. A booklet with processes and WiFi password should help.

Comfortable Apartment, Terrible Communication

Pros - The apartment unit itself was comfortable and clean. Clean towels and basic amenities provided. Kitchenette was well-equipped. Cons - Zero communication from host. Contacted host a day prior to arrival to ask for check-in details but no reply. Arrived without anyone at premises and no knowledge how to check-in. Called host who did not answer. By sheer luck, another guest in the adjacent apartment managed to get through to host via a different booking platform, and host told them how we could get into our booked accommodation. It is strange how the host could reply another guest but not us. And while the apartment was comfortable, the main door could not be locked from outside. Book at your own risk.
