The property itself is lovely, with cute little suites. It has a lot of facilities with a good choice of drinks and food. We did find the service wasn't up to the standard it could be as the staff seemed disheartened and they were not overly welcoming. It felt a little that we were putting them out. It is somewhere we would visit again and would like to visit in the summer months to be able to explore the full grounds and activities more.

I cannot recommend this hotel. Staff: unhelpful and uninformed. False advertising: the table tennis and billiards indicated in their pictures are non-existent. Hidden charges for activities like tennis, sauna. It's in the middle of nowhere, which is nice until you try to book a dinner since it is the only place around - we tried for three nights, never could get a place, were made to feel that we were unimportant since we didn't book a package with dinner (didn't know we had to to get a meal in their restaurant). Place seems mismanaged and worn out. I could go on... Rooms were a decent size though.

One of the few properties with multiple pools, large gym, excellent location for cycling. The only downside was breakfast didn't begin until 7:30am during the week which is late for those like me that have to work. Weekends it goes to 8am which again is too late for someone like me who needs to work Saturday.

Facilities largely unsuitable for wheelchair users

I explicitly booked wheelchair accessible accommodation through Expedia, with the a wheel-in shower. when I arrived, I was informed that they only had one such room, and it had been fully booked for the whole summer. They informed me that they were not asked for accessible accommodation for me! I was offered another room, but found that it had a step up to the door, and I was not able to access it. I was eventually given a room I could get into with much difficulty, but without accessible shower or toilet. The following day, a makeshift ramp was constructed so that I could get into the other room. The bedroom had more space, but the en-suite facilities were a struggle, and I could not use the shower or bath. The parking area, dining room, reception etc, were some distance from my room (it is not a hotel as such, more like a holiday village), making it even less suitable. I would like to know where the booking went wrong. You sent me confirmation that my requirements were available.

Nice hotel amidst nature with good facilities

Very pleasing hotel, room we had was a bit small but it was cosy, the wifi worked well, we found the restaurant a little expensive but good considering. Plenty of facilities,tennis court, volleyball, gym, indoor pool and sauna, small bowling alley, all very good while we stayed. Staff were helpful. Nice relaxing retreat. Would stay again for sure.

Hotel price for motel service

Unfortunately, the check in service drops the overall rating. Despite prepaying via hotels.com for a family of four, the clerk stated I did not. Even after showing my reservation details the clerk went on to discuss with 2 colleagues on how to handle the situation. They discussed that every reservation from Expedia is a problem for them. Every little item had a surcharge.

Outdated and somewhat overpriced

The hotel is mid-priced, but there was an air of cheapness throughout our stay - starting with an option to "rent" a tea kettle for an extra 5 euro a day, to the extremely basic breakfast for which they normally charge around 16euro a person.
