Hotels with a Pool in Hitchcock, TX

"There was a gas station right next door. Staff was ok ladies cleaning the room did their best with what they had. Please tip the cleaning crew. We tip our lady several times and she was so grateful. The property is not being maintained. All towels need to be replaced. Fire alarm was hanging out of the ceiling. The shower mat need to be thrown out and the shower pressure was low. The pillows were flat also but the bed was comfortable. The stove in the room didn't work, and there were no utensils. The ac worked well. The walls are thin. We had neighbors who weren't thoughtful and mindful of those around them. Their TV were on loud into hours in the morning, and conversations were loud also. When I checked in I was told they they had breakfast. I asked where and she said right in the hotel lobby which was smaller than the size of the room we stayed in. We never went for breakfast so I cannot comment on it. I can't forget the hotel is near a train line. The train goes by several times a night. Would I recommend this hotel no. Spend the extra and stay in a more established hotel chain. There are several Inns in the area that I'll stay clear of all of them. I booked late, and my choices were limited. "
