Wonderful Stay

Our family really enjoyed our stay, there are so many thoughtful details throughout the lodge and the set up is perfect for a large family gathering.

My sisters and I once again had a wonderful stay at Woodland Trails Lodge. We all agree it is the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. It is meticulously clean, with all the amenities you could possibly want, and the lovely view from the many windows begs to be enjoyed. We definitely hope to return next year!

Family Reunion

A very wonderful experience. The house is beautiful and immaculate. All our needs were met. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking utensils. We had plenty ofnecessary towels and linens. Their special little touches were appreciated and unexpected. We had 11 people and more than enough room.The trails are great and well marked. So much fun driving the gulf carts on them.The firepit are is very nice. There is plenty of seating. Very wel maintained.I really can't say enough about this place. I highly recommend renting. You will not be disappointed.

Another great stay!

Aside from the rainy weather, the trip was great. We’ve stayed here before and this visit was just as good as the others. Amazing trails, fun paddle boats, and tons of space for lazy/rainy days full of games, puzzles, and movies. Had to reach out to the on-site caretakers for a small issue and they were at the door and resolved the issue within minutes. Amazing folks. Will be staying again for sure.

Solid as always.

This is probably the sixth time my family has rented this over the years. So much so that my 5 year old son believes that it’s our cabin. This visit was like the rest. Amazing. I’ll be back in a month with the other side of my family!

High School friends and spouses

This is our second stay and hope to have many more. We had everything we needed and never left. Each of 6 couple have own luxurious bedroom with own bathroom. Lots of things to do; riding golf carts on the trails, hiking, taking paddle boats for a spin, English Pub Billiards, bocce ball, and card playing. Amazing kitchen ! Barbeque. Very spacious ! Impressive and relaxing decor. Propery managers responsive. Highly recommend to others !

2025 Christmas in Hinkley

We were all so pleased with Wonderland Trail that we want to come back in May. They have thought through all your needs or wants in a big rental. From all the house amenities to feeding the wild life on the property. Each room is comfortably appointed for each family member. We had a great time and plan on returning. Thank You!

Best place ever!

Love this place! Everything is thought of, well stocked kitchen and we made all our meals here. So clean. Friendly staff. Great location with hiking. Saw so many deer! I have absolutely nothing negative to say! Recommend 100%.

Perfect family vacation

We spent Thanksgiving with 7 kids and 6 adults. My elderly parents loved the main floor bedroom. The kids loved being downstairs. We all loved having our own bathrooms! The kitchen was amazing and had everything we need for Thanksgiving.

Hinckley Haven

This fabulous lodge far exceeded our expectations! The spacious, well appointed rooms provided the perfect accommodations for our week long stay. Each bedroom has a sitting area and most rooms have a jacuzzi tub. We enjoyed the paddle boats, bikes and golf carts. We ventured into Danbury for an ATV adventure. The autumn leaves were spectacular. The lodge afforded everything you could want. The kitchen is amazing. Plenty of room for large groups and still maintain some privacy. Highly recommend!

Sixters Week

This venue was above and beyond our expectations. We used the golf carts daily to explore the property. We used the paddle boats, as well as the fire pit. The staff was friendly and very responsive. The place was spotless. We enjoyed so much we rebooked for next fall.

Another Relaxing Stay

Our family had another great stay at Woodland Trails. It is a superior value for all of the amenities that come with the property. The property has a lot to offer all age groups; I don't know who enjoyed our stay more; my wife and I, our kids or our Grandkids. Our family has already booked next year's vacation here. John, Sandra and the property management team are the best.

Won’t disappoint

Spacious for extended family get together. Grand kids had so much fun exploring the property on the golf carts multiple times a day, going on the water bikes, looking for deer, birds, porcupines etc. Home was very clean and supplied with everything you need for your stay! Did not need to bring soap, towels, etc from home. Best part checkout was a breeze, no special rules to follow like stripping the beds, emptying all the garbage etc.. upon leaving like other rentals. If you are on the fence, I would not hesitate to stay here! Very peaceful, but plenty to do on the property.

Yearly siblings and spouses get away

It was wonderful, everyone had their own ensuit! The house is very large so plenty of room for our party of eleven. The house has everything you need and more for meal prep, huge kitchen and dinning room. The grounds are so beautiful with miles of well groomed trails, fire pit, screen porch, pond with paddle boat. We will be back!

Luxurious oasis in the woods!

My extended family of ages 9 to late 70s stayed in this beautiful lodge in the woods and can't say enough about how wonderful it was. The lodge has everything you would need. We were a group of 12 people and everyone had all of the space they needed to feel comfortable yet it was cozy at the same time. Groceries and restaurants are close by if needed. We ate most all meals at the house. The 4 kids loved all of the activities. I highly recommend this property!
