The Daiwa Roynet Hotel, is a nice clean hotel, and has efficient staff on hand to assist with your needs. The property has 3 coin op laundry machines, vendong and micro wave ovens on some dloors, thiere is also a nice cafe (Holly's) attached to the hotel. It is situated half way between Himeji Station and Himeji Castle, of course Koko-en Garden, Himeji Museum of Art and a couple of temples and shrines are are also in the same area. There is an abundance of restaurants and cafes to choose from as well.

One of the few hotels with proper view of the white castle Himeji. Definitely 1 of the highlight of this trip. Spotlight shine at the white castle from 7pm to 12am and if you got a room facing the white castle, that's a big joy. And it doesn't cost you a heavy wallet to stay here. 3-5min from Himeji JR station and they shelter shopping leading to the castle. There 2-3 shopping malls that can cater to your food and drinks needs. Not over crowded with tourists.

We liked how clean and quiet the hotel was and so close to Himeji station. The only thing that was inconvenient for us was there was no place to unpack our clothes. We stayed for 2 weeks so we had many clothes.

It is easy to walk from station and castle. Breakfast was good. We used laundry but someone was using overnight, and they left so I can’t use right away. If someone used and they don’t remove right away, it’s better to ask front desk.

Decent & convenient

Front desk was ok, very systematic and not personable. Room looked clean with a big desk. Bathroom was a bit inconvenient: no hook to hang a bath towel on the wall or door, the shower door should have a towel hanger for a bath mat, etc. However, a separate tub and shower was a big bonus for me! Breakfast was disappointing. I thought the food quality and selection were pretty poor. I would book a room without it next time, and just get a coffee and some bread/pastry at a cafe downstairs.

Pretty decent hotel. Small rooms, but quite affordable and clean. We stayed an extra night due to a scheduling error and it was no headache at all to extend. There is an INSANELY good ramen place across the street, and a little bar with really decently priced drinks as well. Quiet area. Would stay here again
