Old batch style that makes you appreciate your own home. Kids won't notice, but we did notice the bouncey beds, soors that don't fully close and the dirty oven trays. But the rest was real good and very cosy layout. Would heve been helpful to have a welcome book with the what is expected at check out.

Very basic

Hosts were responsive and accommodating with our changes.We were expecting the back to be pretty basic when we booked a few months in advance. At the time of booking we could only stay 2 nights - there was a 3 night minimum which we were happy to pay despite just booking for 2 nights. Close to staying our plans changed, so seeing the bach was available for the extra day we asked if we could extend the stay. We were then charged an extra 50% on top of what we had already paid (which was already the 3 night charge for just 2 nights). We thought the hike in price may be due to having made improvements since we originally booked, but this was obviously not the case! The single bed mattress wasn't the most comfortable and the pillows in the bunk room were in definite need of updating.Had we booked 3 nights at the original price we would accept the level of accommodation, unfortunately at the rate we ended up paying it was lacking the refinements we've experienced in other accommodation at similar pricing

An old-fashioned unpretentious kiwi bach

Travelling from Auckland to the Interislander ferry, we needed an overnight accommodation that got us close enough to the ferry without being 'in town' and this bach met our needs very well. It is adequate and satisfactory and while there is much scope for improvements, it doesn't pretend to be anything other than it is. We are grateful for the opportunity for a safe and satisfactory place to stay over. Thank you Kathy and Hitoshi.

Total Unwind

A great kiwi Batch. Really lovely and clean, comfortable beds. Stayed 8 Days, wish we could of stayed another 8. Lazy days spent reading and boogie boarding. Loved it.

Cute and cozy

Great location and super cozy house inside. Cool little notes around so you can figure out what to do. Soak in the sun and sand. Hard to get the kids to leave the playground to see the beach or even walk the beach because so much to play with in the sand. Friendly locals. Good dvd collection. Thanks for sharing your space with us and for happy memories

The perfect spot for a relaxing stay

Amazing little bach, we had a family reunion, fishing trip, the property was very clean with everything we needed to be comfy and relaxed, it felt like a home away from home 🏡 we will be back during summer for another little get-away. Thanks for having us!

Comfortable beach bach

We enjoyed our stay in this comfortable bach. It is basic but has everything you need. It is close to the awesome Himatangi beach and a dairy. It has a large section which would be ideal for family. Thanks for the stay

Lovely basic Bach!

The house was great, had everything we needed! Compact, but was nice to have three bedrooms as well as a dining room and lounge so heaps of space for everyone! Bathroom was great, we did have reservations when reading it was outside, but it's right by the door, just like an old wash house. Himitangi was a great place to stay and the takeaway shop was great! We would definitely stay again!

Cosy and comfortable.

Excellent bach! Very comfortable. Peaceful and quiet location. Has got everything you need for a holiday. 10 minute walk to the beach and playground. Hosts are very friendly. We have had an amazing holiday! Thank you for keeping your prices affordable for a family.

Close to the beach

We enjoyed our stay as we were working away from home .great place to stay, as we are tradies good place to unwind after a big days mahi. Awesome communication from the host . I would take my family there for a family hoilday . I will revisit again ☺️☺️

Expected more comfortable house. Only 1picure on book a batch. House old and disappointing

I would not recommend this batch to any of my friends or family. No WiFi, bath room outside and not very modern. We were disappointed and bit pricey too.

Cozy Kiwi Bach

We had a fantastic winter beach holiday. The house was so cozy and warm for our young family. Comfy warm beds, lovely and clean house with great hot water and pressure. The dvds were a massive hit after a busy day at the beach. We will be back. Thank you Kathy and Hitoshi.

A cozy stay

A small and cozy bach at Himatangi beach. We stayed there to attend our football tournament in Palmerston North so we did not get to explore the area at all unfortunately. But we really enjoyed the cozy little bach. Thank you Kathy and Hitoshi.

Classic kiwi Bach. Quaint and homely with everything you need

Clean with new toilet and basin. Good washing machine. Sunny deck with picnic table to eat outside. Easy relaxed place to stay with great location near beach and reserve for walks. Like the baches we stayed in as kids. Basic but comfortable. Thanks Would come again

Double bed a bit small. Shower temperature control slips from hot to cold. Otherwise everything is fine.
