The staff were so nice and helpful, it’s quiet and small, right across from the sea. The breakfast was great and had fresh food! My husband and I had the upgraded room with the private hot-tub and it was clean and comfortable! If you looking for something chill this is it! There’s also great restaurants just down the street.

This was a last minute booking. We were tired of searching and just picked something awailable next to the beech thats not too pricy, and hoped for the best. We could not made a better choice. The room was clean and spacious, the cleaners were cleaning and changing linen and towels every morning,the bathroom was just the right size with warm water all the time. They have a decent size pool kept very clean, cosy launchers to enjoy quiet times, and stuff always ready to make you feel welcomed. The receptionist lady was helping us plan our sightseeing with helpful tips, she even saved one of our booking into a museum ,by calling them and explaining we were not aware of time slots at the entrance. We were not iritated by the neighboring guests noises, ocassionally comming through the airwent, cause we did not aim for the feeling that we died and got shot into a sarcofagus. Life contains noises of life......and smells of it....like the smells of wonderful food we were served with every morning.🙂 There was always wide variaty of food options, starting from all tipes of healthy food, pastries, traditional english and local meals, dryed fruits, to buicuits and cakes. We felt so integrated and welcomed by them, and even by the neighboring restorants and locals, that we can honesly highly recomend Dimitra hotel to everyone who wants to experience authenthic Crete.

This hotel was in a great location and a very short walk to restaurants and the beach. We were happy with the breakfast as well. The room however was only ok, very very hard beds, and we didn't have hot water. They couldn't get anyone out to fix it so they let us shower in the room next to us which was fine. One night there was fireworks (for no reason or holiday) that woke us up at 1am. The pictures make it look better than it is and the bathrooms are not pictured because they are TINY and the entire bathroom gets wet when you shower.

Across street from very nice calm beach. Parking in alley. Bus to Herakulion stops very close. Good breakfast. Main drawback is that bed is very hard. Need a soft topper.

The apartment was well-equipped, the environment was pleasant. There was some noise from motor cycles as the hotel is close to main roads. The staff was very friendly. Beds were narrow, but fine. We didn't use the pool, but it seemed to be pleasant.

Lovely staff at this hotel

I had a very pleasant stay at Dimitra Hotel! The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. My flight was delayed and they provided very clear instructions straight away on how to check in after hours. They also helped with bus schedules to Heraklion centre and to the airport, and were generally just lovely people. The room was very clean and the location is convenient. Just steps from the beach and surrounded by restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, hair salons, pharmacies and bus stops in short walking distance.

Excellent place to stay.

Excellent accommodation, with nothing too much trouble for the staff who were helpful at all times. I had an issue with the lock on the bedroom door and it was sorted within 20 minutes. Breakfast was fine, although the occasional change to some of the products on offer would be nice. It's about 30 metres from the beach with about 6 or 7 restaurants there as well. The pool area is clean, if a little under used due to the proximity of the beach. The centre of Kokkini Hani is around a 10 minute walk where the 2 bigger supermarkets can be found. Would I stay again, certainly.

Positives: Lovely, friendly staff. Taverna's, beach etc very close by. Room was spotless. Bathroom nicely done, looks newly renovated. Air conditioning effective and fairly quiet. Free parking at hotel. Negatives: Bug net to ventilation shaft broken so mosquito's came to visit when the bathroom light went on...despite keeping the door closed, I was bitten in the night. Only 1 pillow on each bed, couldn't get comfortable so poor nights sleep. Breakfast had wide choice for a small hotel but poor quality, eg: orange squash not juice, cold meats had lots of colouring. Had croissants and toast so fine for our 1 night stay.

Cretan Hospitality at its finest.

Booked second time 5/16/15. I was lucky enough to spend one more night at the Dimitra Hotel before flying north the next morning. Once again I found the owners to absolutely wonderful. Hotel is in great location, right across the road from beach, near Iraklion airport for early departure or late arrival, short bus ride into Iraklion saving having to fight traffic and find parking, access to good restaurants, grocery store and café’s. Room clean, breakfast delicious. I would definitely book a third time if opportunity presented itself.

Hidden gem in Crete.

Just home from five nights at this delightful hotel. Everyone at the hotel is friendly with help given when needed. I had a good sized room with a view down toward the village and the sea to one side. The breakfast buffet is generous and there was a good variety of food to choose from that was all fresh and tasty. I travelled as a lone female to Crete and felt completely safe during my time at the Dimitra Hotel Apartments. The sea is very nearby. Care should be taken when the water is rough. There is a very strong current which even I as a strong swimmer found a problem. The hotel pool is clean and a good alternative to the sea.

Lovely staff

After a mix up with my booking due to the website not updating in time, I was unable to stay for my first 2 nights planned. The hotel couldn't do enough for me however. They booked me in to a hotel nearby and offered me free breakfast everyday.They picked me up when it was time to stay here and I couldn't have been happier. Travelling on business meant I needed good wifi signal- which is quite hard to find in Greece. This hotel was excellent for wifi! Comfy, nice clean rooms and a nice pool area. The breakfast was very simple but was fine for me. I wouldn't normally have picked this area and didn't really have time to explore so I can't give a full opinion. If I was to be in the area again however, I would definitely stay here and recommend it to others. The staff were so friendly, I was sad to leave.

Clean & comfortable hotel near the beach

We had a comfortable stay in this hotel, the staff were helpful, the room was cleaned and beds made daily, comfortable beds & the air conditioning was great. Just seconds from the beach, and opposite a bus stop which will take you either towards the east of the island or west towards Heraklion city centre or the airport which is about 15 minutes away and costs a couple of Euro. There is also a swimming pool which was pretty quiet and not too busy, with the usual umbrellas and sun loungers. All in all a good place to stay.

Es war ein phantastischer Urlaub. Die Einrichtung des Apartments war altmodisch und das Bad sehr klein, aber im nächsten Frühjahr wird alles renoviert. Viel wichtiger ist aber doch die Freundlichkeit, der Service und die Aufmerksamkeit des Teams! Wir reden hier nicht von einem Luxushotel, deshalb ist der Service um so mehr zu loben! Ich mache seit mehr als 20 Jahren Urlaub in Europa, aber soviel Freundlichkeit habe ich nie erfahren. Danke an das Team und insbesondere an Despina!
