Your Hayward adventure begins at this four-season, waterfront cabin, which features a cozy interior with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, upper loft and spacious family rooms overlooking beautiful Grindstone Lake in Hayward, WI. Nestled in a serene location, this property offers a wonderful escape for guests. When you step outside, you will be amazed at the peace and quiet and natural beauty. Keep an eye out for majestic bald eagles soaring above the lake with loons, geese, and ducks swimming offshore. The large upper deck near the front door has cozy seating with tables. Walk from the lower-level walk-out to the large patio; from there you can head to the newly installed firepit area to enjoy the view of the lake or watch the sunrise with your morning coffee; or head down the stairs to the 68-foot dock. Grindstone Lake is one of the area's best fishing lakes. The public boat landing is only 1/4 mile from the Eagles' Loft. Bring your own boat or rent a pontoon from one of the nearby marinas. On a sunny afternoon, you'll see boats anchored and swimmers cooling off in the water. Although there are jet skis, water skiers and tubers, the lake is relatively quiet. Explore the 3,176-acre lake with the (4) kayaks provided with your rental. You will be amazed by the incredible views of the lake! This lake front home is approximately 12 miles south of the city of Hayward. It's about 140 miles northeast of the Twin Cities Metro Area. The Hatchery Creek Trailhead (Birkie Trail and CAMBA mountain bike trail) access is also approximately 12 miles from the cabin. There is a casino nearby as well as several wineries. Parking--you can park up to 4 cars as well as one boat trailer at the cabin. Sorry, we do not allow camping in RVs on the property or tents. Immerse yourself in the amazing surroundings and enjoy all that Hayward has to offer when you stay at the Eagles' Loft!

Excellent Summer Vacation Spot

First time on Grindstone and loved the clear water, boating action, and fishing quality on this quiet lake. As reviews before me stated - impressively clean cabin with lots of room and amenities. The lake room is especially great for gathering and has a fantastic lake view, as does the adjacent first floor deck. The cabin, yard, and deck stay cool all day due to ample shade from wooded setting. The wooded subdivision with the grid of roads is expansive and relatively undeveloped, yet managed for mosquitos which were absent during our stay in late June/early July - great setting to get exercise! The dock was ample for my 18.5 foot fiberglass fish'n'ski and a large pontoon rental. Amanda was very accommodating. Yes ample firewood is provided but next time I will bring a maul for log splitting. Hats off to the cleaning people as they really care about what they do!

Wow!! Just Amazing!

This property was way above expectations, stocked with every kitchen item you could ask for, including camp forks and firewood, to make our stay like home..Extremely clean. The owner was friendly and answered all my questions immediately.. This Lake front place is a gem with the best views.

Grindstone Eagles Loft

This is a great location for a family gathering. The house is well maintained and comfortable, even has a generator that kicked in when we lost power. Would be nice to have a patio table on the main deck for eating outside. Easy to dock my boat and the Smallmouth Bass fishing is fantastic.We had a great family get together and at this time of year it was so quiet around the lake.

Clear water, Superb cabin.

This is the first time I’ve stayed in a VRBO that surpassed the photos & description. The cabin was immaculate, thoroughly equipped and spacious. The grounds had been recently landscaped with a fire pit and stairs down to the dock. While there is a collection of “tiny cabins” (probably a former resort) on one side of the property, there was a patch of woods to the other side with another cabin. We arrived on a Sunday and left on Saturday morning and the cabins and lake were very quiet. The water was clear, the bottom sandy or rocky - no seaweed, which made for some lovely open water swims and kayaks. An excellent vacation for us.

Excellent cabin experience!

We had a great stay at The Eagle’s Loft! The place was clean and had a cozy cabin feel/decor! It had everything we needed. There was plenty of room for us and our teens, each had their own rooms. We appreciated the kayaks being available to us! We took a few peaceful rides on the lake together. The campfire area was the best to make s’mores and watch the sunsets. They were beautiful! The hosts were very pleasant and communicative! We would definitely stay again! Thanks Adam and Amanda!
