The property was ok but when we arrived to check in there was no one there at 4:30 pm and it was all locked up. Luckily someone else was there & we figured out that it was a public holiday & we had to call to be let in. The room was ok but we’d been allocated an accessible room which we didn’t need - the result was the shower was too low unless you crouched & the bathroom got soaked every time you used the shower. There were no shelves/ ledges in the bathroom so we had to move our toiletry bags out prior to showering. Another issue we had was the $15 a night parking rate. It was in the city centre but the car park was not secure so why the high nightly fee? Although the room was fine, there was no outside space to relax anywhere around the hotel, no balcony or garden and no opening windows so fresh air was non-existent. The hotel served its purpose - somewhere to stay whilst visiting Napier & the Hawkes Bay wineries.it was not, however, worth the money & downtown Hastings is dull.

This was the best hotel I have stayed in for a long time. The people were very friendly and helpful, and the rooms were immaculate and comfortable. I would highly recommend to anyone and will definitely stay again when visiting the Bay!

Very Nice!!

My sister and I met up for a girls sleepover to watch movies and relax and catch up. The first room the TV didn't work but the guy on the desk (not sure of name but wore a turban) was SO nice and helpful. He tried to fix and ended up moving us to a new room and helped again with the TV. He was really lovely and kind. The room was super modern and comfy with amazing bedding. Will definitely stay again. One thing I would suggest for the rooms which is very minor, an ice tray for the freezer but still 10/10

Excellence in Hastings central

Great easy stay in this hotel, excellent condition (opened 18 months ago but everything as new). Room spacious, light and well appointed. No view but didn’t matter. Bathroom excellent, and overall design well done. One of the best hotels I’ve stayed in for a while. Would definitely return. Only complaint, weirdly, was very noisey bedding!! The mattress protector creaks against the mattress. Very odd.
