Nice hotel

Overall, this place was convenient & clean, with excellent service at the front desk. Daily housekeeping was a nice surprise. There was no recycling option but I don't think there's much of that in the Harrisonburg area. My only complaint was that our room often smelled of cigarette smoke, perhaps because the outdoor smoking area was below us. This only happened at breakfast time and in the evening. Perhaps the smokers can be given a spot away from the building?

The first room I was originally issued had baby cockroaches crawling on the desk and wall. The desk agent was kind and issued me a new room. I did not see any in the new room. I was expecting a little more for $600+ per night.

Room was nice. Bed was a bit high but there was a stool to help get up on it. Staff was friendly. We stayed on our way down to Gatlinburg and on the way back up too. Would stay again.

When you walk in the facility it is very stark & unwelcoming. The receptionist was very nice & efficient. The hook that holds the shower head was broken so you had to hold the wand while trying to shower. What happened to the plain old stationary shower heads. Why switch to a hand held shower head? The bed was comfortable & the room was clean. When I went for breakfast around 8:30 A.M. the staff was having breakfast & in the way of customers trying to get their food. If the staff is going to eat breakfast it should be before or after the paying customers have eaten.

Staff was neither welcoming or rude just a general business like demeanor. What I didn't appreciate is prior to booking I spoke with front desk who started their pool was heated and working, upon arrival I once again confirmed the pool was heated. Needless to say it was either not heated or not working as it was freezing cold. Spoke to the front desk who advised they turned the temp up, stayed out there for awhile and it never got anywhere close to warm

Clean. Checked in really really late/early. Like 4am. The only thing is I wish they would have been able to accommodate a later check out without charging me for every hour and then saying they were going to charge me for another night (as I was walking out with my son) Don’t think the lady was trying to be mean I just felt like she was stressed but I know making exceptions isn’t their job but anyway I really liked this hotel. The bed was amazing.

Do not believe the photos online. The hotel has an extremely foul, stale oder. There are areas where you can see pain over spaces that clearly need to be repaired/replaced. There was visible mold in our shower and when we reported to the hotel staff his response was very dismissive. I was extremely uncomfortable but because the booking was nonrefundable we were forced to stay. Take my advice find another hotel!

Nice but damp rooms

Nice hotel close to major highway. The room stayed very damp despite the ac running. I was moved to a new room on day 2 and the updates were nicer there. I think the aca need to be maintained so they dry the air.
