We enjoyed our stay and the property was exactly what we were looking for in a mountain getaway peaceful, private, and immersed in the woods with beautiful views and a relaxing atmosphere.The home was clean, quiet, and met our needs well for a restful escape. The hosts were communicative and supportive, although we did not need to reach out during our stay.The driveway is definitely mountain-style, so guests should come prepared and be mindful of the vehicle they bring, but the secluded setting is worth it.We especially appreciated the sense of privacy and the natural surroundings. The property has a lot of charm and potential, and we enjoyed slowing down and spending time in such a scenic location.Overall, we had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet retreat in the mountains.

This was a lovely rental in a breathtaking location. My whole family gasped at that view as we came over the hill and down the driveway! Could not have asked for a more picturesque front yard, and the sunsets from the hot tub were epic. The house was very clean, comfortable, and well appointed, with two generously sized bath tubs inside and comfy beds. Great game selection (although some of the contents were mixed into the wrong boxes), and we enjoyed the ping pong table too. Communication was top-notch. We would happily return.

This property is owned by a larger management company. So had more hoops to go through after the reservation done here. Fill out an application AND send picture of ID. A few days prior to check in, got a text of the house manual. It was a ton of rules of things NOT to do and specific instructions about the hot tub. Except for one thing. If you plan to use the hot tub, you may want to check and increase the temp. Wife and I went in first night there and was like warm. It was set at 90. Am that’s fine, but instead of all the rules and condescending remarks about the lock combination, how about mentioning that the tub may need adjusting to your liking. So we pop out and go to jump in the shower. That was another ordeal. We’re both trying to figure out how to get hot water. As it turns out, the water heater too is set at a low temperature. I haven’t gotten goosebumps taking a shower since I was in the NAVY and has zero hot water. Ok, well now time toRelax and cook dinner with some wine. Microwave doesn’t work properly. Tried to cook potatoes and it kept erroring out and shutting off. And be sure to bring your own wine glasses. Not a one in the cabinet. I didn’t bother to text the company. It wouldn’t have made any difference. The price to stay here was outrageous and it’s obviously you are paying for the views. Which were amazing. But of all the places I’ve ever stayed at over the years through VRBO, this was the biggest disappointment.

The views were absolutely amazing. Loved the home and had such a lovely weekend. The real hero of our stay was all of the mattresses, hands down the best I have ever had in a rental home. Can we get a link to the mattress toppers?

Beautiful get away

Great tucked away location for a friends weekend. Some cute towns with good restaurants not too far. Beautiful views from the hot tub. House was very cute and beds were comfortable. Showers worked well and plenty of towels. Working fireplace was also nice.

Gorgeous house in the hills

My family of four, including a four year old and a 6 year old, all really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are all comfortable, everything was neat and clean. We enjoyed the supply of games and the ping pong table. But most of all - the view from the hot tub was like wow. we spent hours in the hot tub every evening appreciating the gorgeous view and unwinding after days of hiking, river tubing, and travel. We so enjoyed our stay and would love to come back!

Girls Weekend

Perfect house for a relaxing girls weekend. The house was very well appointed and had everything we needed. The views were spectacular and sunrise and sunset enjoyed from the deck were both amazing. Great communication from our hosts- would definitely stay at this house again

Mountaintop Cottage is better than presented. Beautiful view, very clean, nice appliances, comfortable beds, great showers and wonderful linens. Home away from home. Ping pong table was an unexpected hit with our kids. Fun times, great memories.

Amazing house with an even more amazing view!

My wife and I wanted to get away for a few days and we decided to stay in this little gem. The house was spotless, the instructions for check-in and check-out were perfectly clear, and the host communicated with us very well. The roads around the house and the driveway is fairly steep so it just requires a bit of care getting in and out but the view is so worth it. The hot tub was relaxing and there are some incredible sinking tubs in each bathroom. At night, it is completely quiet and it was a pleasure to just unplug and relax. When we needed to get some work done, the wifi signal was strong and the phone signal was great too. We definitely will be back!

Magnificent view and wonderful home

We spent the week before Christmas here with our family. It was perfect. The house was so well appointed and the wood burning stove made the place extra cozy. The beds were so so comfortable! The views were amazing and the hot tub was nice and hot. The driveway is really steep and is not for the faint of heart. The property is very private and the neighborhood is quiet. We saw hawks and a lot of deer while we were there. Harpers Ferry is a short drive away, as is the Appalachian Trail. We would highly recommend staying at this home. We are already dreaming about our next visit.
