This was a great place for a comfortable, peaceful escape, and was only a couple of hours from Seattle.
We were looking a spot that was fairly isolated and surrounded by nature, and this place has what we were hoping for. We got to see fish jumping and seals playing in the water, deer meandering through at sunset, expansive views, and enough space to have some alone time. Also, definitely one of the best stocked kitchens I've seen in a vacation rental (I love to cook).
A few things to know:
- just over 100 steps to the water, and a small path with a ramp at the end
- wear foot protection on the beach as there are lots of shells and such
- fishing and watersports craft aren't uncommon to see on the water, and the occasional passerby on the beach (we went in late summer)
- smaller yard, but plenty of space with a lot of seating, a swing, hammock, deck, and table
- very well-equipped kitchen with various cookware, reasonably sharp knives, a great selection of spices, etc.
- fans to keep the air moving, enough windows to bring in lots of light and fresh air, and a lot of dimmable lighting
- tons of comfortable seating inside
