Great staff.

Regular full time staff went above and beyond to help me with my travel arrangements that were being problematic due to the Lunar New Year . The hotel is in the old quarter so don't expect nice and be, but it was a quiet comfortable sleep.

The place was small but clean. Buffet is not good rating because they have the same menu everyday, not too much choices. The receptionist was not really friendly, she never smile, lol.

Upon check in, I was told that they needed to fix something in my room so I had to stay in Icon 36, which is an affiliated hotel according to the staff. Very unhappy with the condition of Icon 36. The hotel is very old and it felt like they “downgraded” us. I believe I should have been given a better room with the price I paid. Instead of “downgrading” our room, I believe we should have been upgraded instead because the hotel was at fault for not getting the room ready before my arrival. Other than that, the staff in Olympus Hotel were warm, friendly and very helpful

직원분들은 너무 친절하고 상냥했습니다. 하지만 화장실 샤워기는 작동되지 않았고, 청결 면에 있어서 너무 실망스럽습니다. 화장실 바닥에 머리카락과 털들이 있고 수건색은 얼룩덜룩했으며, 벽에는 곰팡이자국과 냄새가 나고, 침구 역시 커버 안쪽에 곰팡이 자국들이 있었습니다. 잠만자고 나갈거라 가성비를 생각해서 예약했는데 그 가성비도 아까웠습니다. 직원들이 착하고 친절했기에 이런 후기를 남겨 미안합니다. 하지만 청결에 좀더 신경을 쓰면 좋을 것 같네요.

good place to stay,bathroom another story

i have stayed at the Lavender hotel before,staff are excellent , The bathroom in room 202 was really bad mould in the shower ,broken glass shelf,the chip of glass was there the 16 days i stayed there black hair in the vanity,. Hit and miss on the supply of hand towells. The toilet was clean the bathroom floor needed a bit of care I wasnt going to post this cos the reception staff are really good . but it wouldnt take much to bring the bathrooms up to scratch,maybe a supervisor would help

Good value hotel. However, jacuzzi was not working which was the main reason why we chose this hotel. The room was very compact and tv did not work. Breakfast was basic and some of the food was definately reused from the day before. Overall, it was fine for a brief stay in hanoi and is affordable. However, it may be worth paying a bit more for a better overall stay somewhere else.

Stay at this hotel, you won't regret it. The facilities were clean and comfortable, the breakfast spread was great, but the most impressive feature of this hotel is the staff and service. They were incredibly helpful and friendly from the second I walked in the door on my first night. On my last day staying there, I got really bad food poisoning (not from anything at this hotel, but from some street food). The staff checked in on me periodically, and one staff member actually went to a pharmacy, explained my symptoms, and bought me medicine and snacks, which ended up working great. I have stayed at very few hotels in my life that have such great service and friendly staff. I honestly have nothing negative to say about my experience staying here.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The hotel is off-the-beaten track for tourists -- but in a good way, if you like that sort of thing. You can certainly see Hanoi family life laid out in the nearly streets. Rooms very clean and the buffet breakfast is an excellent surprise.
