Nice room, the hotel is on a busy crossroads and the rooms can be noisy Staff helpful, but follow the rules to the letter, no check in early, or late you can get a better price via Expedia than at front desk Breakfast buffet is ok, with a selection of Vietnamese and western food. If you need to leave your bags, be warned it is under the stair in own view, but they we ok when we got back , 3 nights away. Excellent location for @highlands coffee or @allday coffee

Extrely good value for money. The hotel is old and a bit worn out, breakfast is fine and the staff very nice. The rooms even offer toothbruch, shaving gear and other things for free. Its placed perfectly just outside the old city

The location of the hotel was very convenient. For the price charged, it is a reasonable deal. I gave it 3/5 because we saw a cockroach in the room. Also, they didnā€™t have breakfast 1 day and told us to order in the room. The whole order was wrong, food was cold, and it was not satisfying. The other 2 days, breakfast was nice and simple.

Great hotel in great location, outstanding staff

Just stayed for a week at the Santa Barbara hotel. The hotel is just north of the Old Quarter, about a 20 min casual stroll from the north end of Hoam Kiem lake. We are a family of four and were very comfortable in a 'family room' with three single beds (2 of these are king singles and my wife and I had no trouble sleeping in one). The room faced Hung Bun and was quiet - the sound insulation in the hotel is very effective. The restaurant downstairs is casual and relaxing, food and staff were great. The menu is Western style so we generally ate breakfast there (good Pho) and ate elsewhere for other meals, but we had several lunch or evening meals there all of which were very reasonably priced and yummy. The staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Language was no problem for non-Vietnamese speakers. Plenty of power-points, good TV, good aircon, plenty of fresh bedding and towels. Laundry service was efficient and inexpensive, mini-bar was great and inexpensive. There was no iron in the room but I am sure we could have had one if we had asked. There were renovations going on during our stay so I am sure the facilities will continue to improve.
