Situado a 10 Herradura Bay Road esta casa de 4 dormitorios es totalmente independiente con todas las comodidades modernas.

Un gran balcón con vistas al mar y la iglesia local. Aves nativas son visitantes regulares y bienvenidos al Jardín.

Elija Kererū House para ser su "hogar lejos del hogar". Un agradable lugar de vacaciones de la familia - con portacot y silla alta disponible.

Catering para 2-12 personas. Ideal para una familia o grupos grandes.

Lugares de interés:
-Dos Minutos a pie del muelle de transbordadores principal donde se sale para la noche del kiwi manchado viajes o excursiones de pesca, tiendas, cafeterías y el South Seas Hotel (conocido por su Domingo concurso y azul bacalao!)
Paseos por la playa y del arbusto -Grandes están a su puerta (se detienen por el Departamento de Comercio local para un mapa)
Golden Bay está a 10 minutos a pie de la colina. Desde aquí se puede salir a la Isla de los Pájaros Ulva sanctury, donde se puede caminar por las pistas a través del bosque nativo impresionante. La isla de Ulva es el hogar de una serie de especies raras, como el lomo, cabeza amarilla, weka, kiwi y robin (guías opcionales).

Kereru house is so comfy and welcoming. The house is so well designed and just enhances the location. So much birdlife to see just from the balcony. We loved the house and the island.

Amazing location

We had a fantastic stay. We were two families and found it great that there were two bathrooms and 4 bedrooms. The place was warm and comfortable and the kids loved the games box and dvd's after each day of exploring.

Perfect location & great amenities

We loved that the bach was easy walking distance to the town centre and Bathing Beach. The deck is a fabulous place to hang out, especially with the new BBQ, and we appreciated the DVD player and DVD collection after a day of exploring. Ideal place for a family or two!

Great location

Wow, what a lovely place to stay, everything about this place suited a gathering of friends. The kitchen & living space had a great flow between it an the sheltered deck. The location meant we could just walk out the door and walk to any number of areas for bush or beach walks, the small retail area and eateries where easy to access. This is a very tranquil place to visit and the accommodation was excellent with great views.

Stewart Island

We stayed at Kereru House for 5 nights and had a thoroughly enjoyable time. House was well set up, though the washing machine was out of order, and provided good accommodation. Excellent location near to the ‘centre’.

Fabulous view and location

We stayed here for 2 nights. Easy walk from the ferry building- less than 5 mins. The house was spacious clean and warm. 2 bathroom with 2 separate toilets was great. Recommend to all.

New Year at Kereru House

We were two families and had an amazing time at Kereru House for New Year. Great location, very spacious, well equipped and comfortable home. A variety of birdlife including Kaka and a Kiwi in the garden!

The perfect Stewart Island experience

Fantastic house and location. Couldnt ask for more. The covered deck provides a great all weather relaxation point. Good for big groups, we were 7 adults, 4 children and 2 infants and it worked very well. Very close to the beach, playground, store and ferry/plane transfer. Awesome spot. Thank you!

Great stay

A group of 8 ladies stayed early September 2023. The house was perfect for a large group. Location was so close to town with 5min walk to hotel/superette/e-bike hire/return flight check/in. Very well equipped kitchen and large commercial toilet paper dispensers which didn’t run out. Lots of board games. Fabulous view of bay and township. Easy Walking distances to other bays and ferry wharf to Ulva island. We all agreed it was a fabulous location would definitely stay again Only negative - booking offers free taxi pick up on arrival - I was told in full booking detail email to ‘ring or text cab company to ‘confirm’ pick up before arrival to island -( I took this to mean the taxi had already been booked for us by owners and we were to confirm we were definitely going to arrive so rang them to confirm when heading out to bluff to the ferry. When I texted them they said they were fully booked. So ‘confirm’ means ‘book’ So do your own booking with Aurora Cabs well in advance of your arrival. Lucky the day was fine and we were all fit enough to walk up the hill with our luggage. All in all a fabulous stay and Stewart Island turned on fabulous weather and the locals were just wonderful :)

Great location.

Lovely property, great location we had a great week away with friends. A few things to make our stay more enjoyable would be a dishwater ( who’s wants to do dishes on holiday!) and a dryer. We were only given one towel each for the week, was very difficult to get washing dry with 8 of us. A run about car would also be a great bonus as walking up the steep hill with groceries and boxes of beer wasn’t ideal. Communication with property manager was nonexistent she never answered the phone or returned our calls. Andrew and Lisa did reply to our email.

Great Location for a larger family group

It is a good property with an excellent location. There was confusion over the current property manager. The previous manager came up in one of my communications but they left the Island a few months ago. Please review the information sent out to insure it is up to date. The review could have been excellent.

Kereru House - Great location and a very nice house

Clean and Tidy We were a group of 8. The accommodation had everything we needed. Was a very pleasant stay and just a small walk down the hill to the ferry and store We do recommend it.

Kereru House - Great location and Excellent Host

We had the house to ourselves. It was very close to everything, clean and tidy. Highlight of this place were the hosts, Lorry and Mona. They were caring, with great passion and knowledge of Stewart Island, and looked after us very well. Something to note is the cost of accommodation was rather expensive compared to larger towns,. However, given the remoteness of the island and our late booking it is understandable!
