Definition of awful -

To access the apartment, I had to collect keys from a lockbox at the office, which was impossible to find. Then I discovered that the instructions I'd been given for locating the apartment door were inaccurate. The "label with your name" on the door of the apartment was also missing. I finally identified the apartment by trying the keys in several doors and entering the one that opened. Once inside I found a rank smell, a door lock suspended on one screw, a light fixture hanging by wires from the ceiling, a cracked mirror, and a dented poster. The apartment was dirty, every surface was coated with grime, and the square of carpet was filthy. The night before I left I received an email asking me to return the keys to the lockbox in the Majordome Privé office. Along with the reminders to leave the apartment "tidy", this request confirmed my idea that Majordome Privé doesn't clean between rentals. When the previous resident uses a napkin to brush crumbs to the floor, that's your "clean". When I moved the dresser to retrieve a pen I discovered that the floor next to the wall was a mess of rotting food, the cords and outlets covered with black mold. The fold-down couch produced two humps and an enormous trench and was a very uncomfortable place to try to sleep. Will never rent from this company again.
