Incredible Stay!

Overall just an amazing experience! It was a wonderful place to stay, the view was amazing, and anything that we needed help with (luggage/transfer around island) the owners were so quick to help out!

Location, location, location! This cave house is located around the corner deom the Oia windmills. The common areas are awesome and there is a private patio not far to view the amazing sunsets. Our host and her assistant, Pietro, are wonderful. The cave house was perfect.

Property was very nice. Only downside, there was no place to put clothes. We lived out of a suitcase. That was a frustration.

Sunset Cave

Maria is the best host one can ask for. Easy to communicate with and helped with so many aspects of my stay on Santorini prior to me staying there. The unit is quaint and very clean in a great part of Oia. Very nice rooftop terrace as well, to watch the sunset. Highly recommended.

Sunset Cave in April

Our visit to Santorini was wonderful. Maria was easy to communicate with and assisted us greatly with our transportation. Daniel was very accommodating and helpful with our bags. It was very helpful to travel light. April was a wonderful time to be there, as the weather was very pleasant and the crowds minimal. Thank you for the memorable stay.

Nice cave apartment with a great location

The apartment was very clean, the bed was comfy, and it was located in a great area. Still within walking distance, but also the shared terrace faces the sunset. With the crowds on that side of the island trying to get a glimpse of the sunset, it was nice to have our own private area to watch. The checkin process was nice as someone carried our luggage on a dolly since the streets are very hard to maneuver. The stocked mini fridge was also a very nice touch!

Unique stay and beautiful terrace

We enjoyed our stay for our honeymoon at Sunset cave. Maria was sweet along with her assistants. Check in and check out was a great help with the helping getting the luggage to and from the stay. The location is great. The power did go out briefly in one of the early mornings and a battery outlet kept beeping for some time but the power did eventually come back and the beeping went away which is out of control of the host. I would recommend this stay.

Perfect stay

We had an incredible time at Maria's. We were just a few steps from all the people and the attraction, but in a quiet spot. We could watch the Sunset every Night, Eating the dinner on the terrasse. The employees were really Nice and they always had little attentions for us (fresh fruits, messages, etc.) We loved every minute of it. The only Little thing were the pillows that are very big and thick. Everything else was perfect!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay in the traditional cave house. We stayed there for two weeks. It is ideally located along a quiet walking path and yet it is just a block away from the busy Oia centre. It is just a few minutes walk to taxi, bus or rental car if you want to explore the rest of the island. The unit has a small kitchen, perfect for making breakfast or lunch. Supplies for breakfast were included. The bathroom has a nice walk-in shower. There is a rooftop patio that is a great place to relax after a long day of sight seeing. It has lots of seating and is decorated with lots of plants. Very pretty. There is an additional sunset viewing deck about a block away and it is this feature that really made the entire stay very special. It was so fantastic to have this semi private deck (shared with other Santorini paradise guests) away from the crowds, best seat in town to watch the sunset with wine and snacks supplied by our host. We even brought take-away dinner there a couple of times. Our host, Maria, was very attentive and always made sure that we had everything we needed, including transfers to/from the airport.

Must accommodating host ever!

With only 3 weeks to plan this "girls" trip, Maria worked so hard to get us accommodations in 3 caves houses. I was so worried about having to move so many times, but she assured me that we would be fine and how having three different views of the Caldera and the beautiful sunsets would make for a more interesting trip. She was right! The moving of our luggage was handled by young men that were always on time, always pleasant to speak to and very sweet and respectful. We were in great hands. The unit is small but clean and pleasant. The courtyard with hot tub was very nice and the rooftop terrace was fabulous to sit, eat, drink and watch the beautiful sunsets. Maria is the perfect host, she is always available and your comfort is her high priority. Don't miss an opportunity to experience this beautiful place with a host that will care for you and make you feel like you are her only guests.
