A 45 minute drive from Grand Marais on the Gunflint Trail brings you to your next calMN retreat, the Fox Den.
This apartment has two levels. The cozy upstairs with a large sleeping and sitting area has 2 full size beds, a small couch, dresser, nightstand, stand alone fan, heating, WiFi and plenty of room to relax.
The entry/lower level offers a bright bathroom with a spacious shower, toilet, fan/heater.
There is a sink just outside the bathroom.
A kitchenette is equipped with a small refrigerator, microwave, electric water kettle, coffee maker, and a single electric burner.
Essential dinnerware, pots and pans are provided.
Things to know:
* The apartment is above the garage (not used for parking vehicles)
*The property runs on a septic system. Please help us maintain it by conserving water and flushing ONLY provided toilet paper.
* Sleeping area ceiling height is 70”
* The property is on a lake on the Gunflint Trail and the apartment is approximately 400 feet from the shore. A set of stairs or gravel path lead to the lake shore.
* No motorized boat launch on property.
* There are two complementary kayaks, an aluminum canoe and PFDs for day use on property lake only.

This VRBO was so thoughtfully created for many different needs of all types of guests. I visited with my children (15, 18 & 20 y/o) and my mother, who was 83. My mother is quite physically limited; however, the apartment had many items that helped my mother navigate the beautiful area and apartment without much issue at all. The apartment was exceptionally clean and organized. As mentioned before, the apartment was furnished very thoughtfully for a wide variety of different types of guests' needs.The beauty of the area speaks for itself, as it is nestled amongst the Superior National Forest and State Forest land. I have shared this VRBO location with many, many of my friends and family because it is AMAZING!

The cabin is newly finished and very clean. The whitewash knotty pine inside gives the cabin a real northwoods feel. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchenette equipped perfecly for our needs. We appreciate the no pet policy due to allergy issues. Wifi worked perfectly.Beautiful location on Iron Lake and we liked having access to kayaks and a canoe to enjoy the water. The sunrise and sunset are beautful on the water! The variety of birds and ducks in the woods and on the water was amazing.On the Gunflint Trail in route we even had a moose sighting!We loved this rental and plan to make a return visit.
