No rooms left after paid, no help from Hotels.com

Booked on the day and arrived at 14:30 to check in. I was advised that there were no rooms and to contact Hotels.com. I have tried and 3 occasions and not yet received a call back /email that was promised to resolve. NO refund as yet, no room provided!! I am extremely disgusted with the lack of customer service and difficulty o resolve. No room was provided despite payment going through!! I would be very unlikely to book through Hotels.com again!!

After an hours drive I went to check in and was told I had no room, no explanation no staff just a phone number with a very rude person on the other end of the phone who was not willing to help what so ever… I definitely do not recommend this hotel

Still showing the wrong photos.

The whole building wasn’t anything like the photos, it was a different place. When we mentioned this, the owner said we couldn’t stay! It was about 5pm, and we couldn’t get another room in the town. We stayed at the Queen’s Hotel, but they only had a single room for us, with the bathroom two floors down. We were booked for two nights, and the next morning while we were out, our things were moved to a double room, still two floor above the bathroom.

I had told them my wife is disabled. The spec on the accommodation said someone would be available until 2300 to let us in? We arrived at 2230 and spent nearly 30 minutes trying to retrieve the key from a lock box almost on the floor! We entered our room only to find it was little bigger than a closet. The bed was lumpy and against a wall such that either my partner or I would have to climb over the other to get it! NOT practical when you are disabled (which the owners were told beforehand!) There was no lamp, no chest of drawers, precious little wardrobe space and in fact, next to space whatsoever! NOTHING LIKE THE PICTURES! I complained to the owner who was extremely unhelpful and demanded I pay an extra £10 a night for a "Family Room" for just the two of us to actually "live" with my partner disabled? Had we been told this beforehand, we would NOT have booked this place! The following day, the owner relented and we were offered a room in her "other" guest house. Only one of the double front doors opened so I had to try to get in with a suitcase (NOT easy). Then the room key wouldn't work unless you held the door closed and "jiggled" the key to make it work? There was ONE bathroom for FIVE rooms (at one point, servicing 14 people!), which meant the place was noisy, smelly and dirty. The "toiletries" promised were a few half used bottles of men's shower gel and the towels were the size of tea towels! I have run out of room, but believe me, it was all as bad as this!
