This cosy apartment offers fresh hot rolls every morning (in the Tonckenskamer). It is also equipped with a canadian canoe for 3 people, so you can explore the characteristic Giethoorn canals on your own. Ideal for holidays with family or friends.

Thanks to its central location, you have a supermarket, several cosy cafés/restaurants, museums, boat and bicycle rental within walking distance. Directly in front of the accommodation is the Dorpsgracht. From there, you can easily sail to the lake (Bovenwiede), just 500 m from the accommodation. A nice walking or cycling trip to Dwarsgracht is also worthwhile, as is a day trip to Meppel. In Meppel, you will find a subtropical swimming pool and a climbing park, among other things. Enthusiasts can hit a ball at the golf course 13 km from the accommodation.

The apartment has its own entrance and hall and is located on the 1st floor. Prepare your favourite dishes in the well-equipped kitchen and relax with a good book in the cosy living room. The bedrooms are both equipped with a private bathroom and, thanks to the single beds, you also have the option of sleeping separately.The accommodation has several terraces and an electric barbecue. Bringing your own barbecue is not allowed due to fire hazard.

A perfect spot

Perfect Giethoorn hosts and location!

Kind and hospitable hosts, perfect location to enjoy all that Giethoorn has to offer, delicious breakfast, quiet, comfortable...list goes on! And did I mention the canoe!?! We spent a perfect October day exploring the waterways, stoping in to enjoy local eateries here and there. Could not have been a better stay! A big big thank you to our wonderful hosts!

Fabulous place to enjoy this lovely town

The apartment was amazing! It is located right in the heart of South Giethoorn (where all the good stuff is!), with ice cream and treats just two houses down, several restaurants very close by, and also very close to the historical sites and boat rentals. The beds were comfortable, the kitchenette had everything we needed (although we mostly ate out), and the views from the patio and upstairs windows were amazing. Breakfast was delicious, fresh, and more than enough for us. There were even some snacks in the apartment for those in-between times. The shower was great and plenty hot, and the bathroom had two sinks and a separate toilet space. The best part, though, was the owners Janny & Koen. They were so kind and thoughtful. I was there not just for vacation but also to learn about my local family history, and Koen helped me find information online that I had not seen before. Janny and I could have sat and talked for days, and she gave great recommendations for restaurants and shops. She even made to-go breakfast when we were leaving for the train in the morning. It was also unusually hot weather when we stayed, and they not only showed us where three fans were, but also gave us a fourth one to use. I couldn't have had a better experience, and I am grateful for my new Dutch friends!

Wundervolles Wochenende

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt in Giethoorn. Wir sind von Yanny u Koen freundlich empfangen worden. Die Unterkunft war perfekt sauber, die Betten waren überzogen u man konnte wunderbar darin schlafen. Handtücher waren ausreichend vorhanden. Die Küche ist zweckmäßig ausgestattet u sehr sauber. Jeden Morgen wurden wir mit einem liebevoll zubereiteten Frühstück begrüßt. Es war wundervoll. Wir kommen gerne wieder.
