Unfortunately, this didn't work out too well for my little dog & myself. It started with a trip up in the biggest snow storm ever, no one's fault of course, but I needed a break and I couldn't afford to lose the money, so we went. After a long, nail-biting drive up, we arrived. The cabin was pretty much as described but there was a problem. The bedroom is a loft and you have to climb some stairs to get to it....which I was aware of, no problem. However, what I did not know is that the stairs are narrow, uneven cut logs & the staircase is also very steep. I was worried as soon as I saw them. I was able to climb them slowly & carefully, but my dog could not, (she is a healthy, two-year-old Frenchie) I carried her up once, because there was nowhere else we could sleep, but it was very dangerous & I could not & would not do it again. Not only are the stairs really precarious, but there is no railing to hold on to. We spent the first night miserable & sharing a loveseat in the tv room. Enter problem number 2; the tv didn't work. Our host was willing to replace it, but not until sometime the next day, but by then, I couldn't see how we could stay and we lasted all of 19 hours.I was also a disappointed because the only walking trail we had available was the actual driveway itself. I will say, our host was very nice, I'm sure she wanted us to have a great stay, but despite its beauty & serenity, it was pretty uncomfortable for us, and a financial loss.
