The location was great—easy lake access, minimal bugs, & our kids felt safe playing in the water. The quiet setting was exactly what we wanted.Unfortunately, the house was a letdown. Bathrooms were clean, but the rest felt neglected—dust, dog hair, dead bugs, even dried food in decorative bowls. The oven hadn’t been cleaned; when we tried to broil s’mores, it smoked—not enough to evacuate, but definitely enough to question the upkeep.The biggest issue: no AC, which wasn’t disclosed. A sign on the fridge said to keep the AC at 70F, & there were thermostat brackets on the walls—but no system. We arrived to a hot house with open shades—our bedroom was near 90F. The ceiling fan & lights in the master didn’t work. Vacasa sent someone hours later who confirmed a bigger electrical issue they couldn’t fix. They brought two fans, but it stayed hot, stuffy, & poorly lit. We barely slept.Other odd touches—like a junk drawer in the kitchen & a cluttered garage—made it feel more like someone’s forgotten second home than a professional rental.We’ve stayed at many VRBOs across the country, & sadly, this was our worst experience. We left a day early just to get decent sleep. We came for a clean, cool, relaxing Bear Lake getaway—but spent most of it trying to tolerate the house. I’ve still heard nothing from the owners about any kind of refund or compensation.

Family trip

The property was good. We were a bit disappointed when we planned a family bbq and the bbq didn’t have any propane so we had to go to town and get dinner after we bought everything to grill. So 150 later, it was very frustrating!

Wonderful Location, wish it was cleaner

The home was the perfect location right on the lake, loved waking up to the view. However the cleanliness was an issue for our group. We knew this was a pet friendly location but were not prepared for the amount of pet hair on the furniture and in the beds. Bathrooms and kitchen were spotless, but the couch was so covered with dog hair we did not sit on it. The beds had dog hair in between the sheets and we had to launder all of the bedding before we felt we could sleep in the beds. We also had to vacuum the floors to rid them of pet hair. Customer service was kind about the situation but was unable to do anything about it during our stay.

Beyond relaxing😊.

We relaxed watching the sunrise every morning sitting on deck or on the comfortable living room couch. We also made good use of the kayak and paddleboard. The place was perfect!

Great location, but dog hair on every surface!

We love the location and used and enjoyed the paddle boards! Great property! S adly, the furry visitor from the last people left fur everywhere! On the blankets for the spare bed, couch, and floor. Crawling baby was covered every time we put her down. It didn’t seem like the previous people swept at all. My allergies went haywire!! We wish it had been cleaned from the previous visitors.

Great place at Bear Lake

We took a quick vacation to Bear Lake. This was a great place to stay. Very reasonable cost. Comfortable and clean. Great views of the lake. We would stay there again. The only disappointment was that the elevator wasn’t working.

Fun family/dog getaway

We stayed for a week in September with our dog and our families. It was overall an awesome location and house and we had lots of fun and would rent again! Pros: - Location was perfect/right on the water (given high water level there wasn't a beach right in front of the house but there was a sandbar a 5 min walk away that we set up on and was perfect for our needs) - Dog friendly (our dog had the best time of anyone haha) - Lots of beds - Gorgeous front room with huge windows to admire the amazing view - Awesome deck/outdoor table looking out over lake - Outdoor amenities were great including paddle boards, kayaks, extra beach chairs/towels, and corn hole - Felt very private given the private road and shoulder season - Adequate cookware to make meals Cons: - Endless bugs (dead and alive) in the house during our stay despite bug screens. - Shampoo/conditioner/soap provided were smaller than what a hotel would provide for a place that sleeps 10 ( bring your own) - Ended up having to buy extra toilet paper/paper towels as we ran out with at most 7 people in the home at a time and no extras provided - Attempted to use grill several times and it didn't heat up enough to be usable despite hooking up our own propane tank - Power was out overnight one night we were there (problematic for groceries/breastmilk) - There's a makeshift fire pit we never used, we would've loved an actual fire pit for cooking smores - Lack of AC was not an issue this time of year but would be in summer

Amazing Place

The house, location, neighbors, views, etc. were all perfect. Will definitely rebook this place in the future. Could not ask for a better vacation and place to spend it!!! The icing on the cake was our ability to bring our dogs, they absolutely loved the place and the location of the water.

Nice location

Overall a nice house, but it's down a very, very pitted, narrow, bumpy dirt road. And, the house was not clean when we got there, we waited until almost 4:00 and still not clean. We had to go through Vacasa, and finally they got someone in touch with us who sent out emergency cleaning crew. And they said they will reimburse us to go get dinner, etc. Other than that, the house is right on the water, and they had it decorated nicely. And everything was good, nice location, we walked into town a couple of times.

Beautiful Peaceful Get Away

We enjoyed the beautiful views, kayaking/paddle boarding/swimming, and listening to the birds! The location was tucked away and yet close enough to walk into town for dinner! We had a great time.

Cute, little old lake house

This was an older house with beautiful views and short walk to the lake. Walking distance to food and shops in town. The property manager was helpful and responded quickly when we needed something. No AC, and not as clean as you’d expect (dust bunnies and webs in corners and under furniture). For a house that sleeps 10 people, there wasn’t enough plates and silverware for even one meal with our family of 9.

Nice getaway spot

We had a nice visit to Bear Lake - our first time to this area. The house was well maintained and felt very clean. It was supplied well very comfortable. Beautiful views from the back deck and quick access to the downtown restaurants/shops.
