We had a easy time booking our stay online even though it was a short notice. Upon arrival, we started finding cleanliness issues: the sitting area downstairs was littered with cigarettes, small bits of glass, & debris, the table/chairs were also very dirty. We were unable to use the grill because it was filthy & the grilling utensils were left outside in a bucket next to the grill unwashed. When we entered the house & noticed that the beds were made, but the comforters were sandy, also found several dog hairs and human hairs on the sheets in both beds. The fan in the bedroom with the full bed was extra dusty so was unable to be used as the fan would scatter dust when turned on. After seeing the state of the home, our 1st call to Vacasa customer service was made. We were told someone would call us back or that someone would be sent out with new sheets and to clean, we were also told that another option would be to move us to a similar property. The 1st night the full bed broke as the wooden slats would not stay in place. The second day we also noticed more cleanliness issues: We found dirty dishes in the pantry, a styrofoam plate in the oven with old food on it & the refrigerator had a slightly fishy smell. We waited until 4pm but never received a response. We called Vacasa a 2nd time and again we’re told someone would contact us. Friday morning we were finally contacted by Christine who was a General Manager who informed us the property manager had a medical emergency so all our previous order requests were not being received. I explained we had taken the bed apart & moved the slats around, so didn’t need maintenance. She did offer us a discount & late checkout for our trouble. I was still under the impression that we were still waiting for someone to clean. When I contacted Christine back I was informed that they do not perform mid stay cleaning but she would get us clean sheets & blankets. We were also given only the lock box code and not the door code which ended in us getting locked out of the property. The same bed broke again the so half of our party ended up leaving a day early. We ended up not using the late checkout that was offered. If the rental was properly cleaned and the beds were comfortable it would have been a great time. Good things about this property are the location, fenced yard, great A/C, & the hot water doesn’t run out. It was very frustrating having to contact Vacasa customer service with no response.
