Always a pleasure staying here. Any questions are responded to in a promptly time.Forgot to review last year, but a storm came through and knocked power out to the house. Anyone could shrug it off as we did. Here? Nope!!! Got a text asking how we are doing and what can be done to help our stay.Always a great place to stay 3 years running!

Beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood. It was close to the beach and made a great place for our family to use as a home base. Very comfortable.

A space out of the past
Rocking chairs on beautiful porches in a beautiful neighborhood to the take in shady breezes in the early mornings and late evenings were the best. They are accepting of pets and welcome them with treats and dog bowls. Human treats are abundant too. The house itself has plenty of room, plantation shutters everywhere to let in the light, a gorgeous, landscaped backyard secured with ground to seven to eight feet tall fencing. It’s one block off Broadway and about six blocks from the sea wall. It has all the modern conveniences while embracing its old world charm. We will book again.

Family Getaway
This historic home is a true gem! My husband, daughter, and I stayed for the weekend with my parents. We had plenty of space! The family suite is upstairs- well appointed to sleep I would think 6 including the daybed trundle. Be carful going up the stairs if you are tall to not bump your head as the ceiling has some shorter areas. Also if you are tall I would advise showering downstairs. The claw foot tub upstairs is beautiful and was perfect for me, but my husband was a little too tall for the shower. Our host Jessica was very attentive. We were able to text that the porch light was out and she had it taken care of quickly. We enjoyed the back porch, walking the neighborhood to admire the beautiful homes and unique wood carvings, and my daughter loved the park about 2 blocks down. My only wish before we stay again (because we for sure will) is new pillows. Overall a perfect weekend and we will return!

Beautiful!!!
My family and I stayed in this beautiful home this past weekend as we were in town to welcome our newest grandson to this world. The house is just as described and was fully stocked with everything we needed. The location is awesome. We were so close to everything. There was a rolling power outage while we were there ***not the owners fault*** but Rachel was great at keeping us up to date on the status and it only lasted a few hours. All-in-all it was a great place and we would definitely rent again. Highly recommended.

Charming Victorian dream home in Galveston
From the moment we walked up to the front gate to experiencing the wonderful Victorian home in Galveston, our expectations were exceeded. The process of registration was flawless, the house was immaculate, the furnishings were tremendous, and the appointments were also fabulous. We so enjoyed our stay! it was a perfect Galveston getaway for our family. We definitely want to come again! The bonus for us was the fenced yard and pet friendly atmosphere for our Golden Doodle.

The best family getaway!
We loved our stay in this beautiful home! All of the accommodations were perfect for us (4 adults, 2 preschoolers), and all of the house's history and various little nooks provided an ongoing treasure hunt the whole time we were there. Loved walking to the park and to breakfast, and Rachel couldn't have been more responsive and helpful. Hoping we can come back again sometime!

A Gem of a Historical Home
Our family enjoyed our stay in this beautifully restored historical home. The owner has put a lot of thought into the details in terms of furniture, decor, essentials, and historic architectural details inside and outside. Downstairs were 2 full baths, a master king bedroom, and a twin bedroom; and upstairs was 1 full bath, a master king suite that included 2 sleeping alcove rooms (2 twins and 1 twin with trundle).
When the heat index is 100+ in Texas and you just want to chill in a quiet historic bungalow near the beach, this place is perfect for relaxation. It is located in the East End Historical District adjacent to other restored historical homes and near the Strand for dining, retail, visiting art galleries, and other excursion-related fun. It has a screen-enclosed back porch with 4 rockers that overlook an arbor with a table and benches, 2 fountains, and a nicely landscaped, shady backyard. The kitchen is sizable with a table for 6 and a kitchen island, and is adjacent to the dining room which also seated 6. The front porch is equally comfortable with 2 chair swings and 2 chairs. During the latter parts of the afternoon and into early evenings, we ventured out to the nearby beaches on Galveston Island, within a few blocks of this home. Our stay in this home definitely checked a lot of boxes for us and was a pleasant and new experience on Galveston Island!

Awesome
We had a relaxing time. Enjoyed sitting out on the porches. The beach was fun. My only request would be to have a golf cart to get to the beach and Stand.
