Galveston trip 24

It has a beautiful view, water pressure not very good, but that's the only negative. I loved it and the host was great with communication. I knew everything I needed to know by the time I arrived.

Great location

Great vacation home! It was so close to the beach, which was clean and quiet. House was more spacious than the photos show. Our family of 7 was very comfortable staying here. We would definitely book this house again.

The Perfect Getaway

This house was more than we expected! The property manager was super helpful and provided us with all the necessary information before, during, and after our trip. Great for kids!! My husband, 3 kids, and I went and we had more than enough room! The house sits in a very quiet neighborhood, on a corner lot, which makes it even quieter! The location is perfect if you don't want to be in the middle of the busy part of the beach. Will definitely stay again!!

Chill Beach Getaway

Just a hop, skip and jump away from the beach, Drop Anchor's top floor was an excellent space for the teenagers to hang out when we weren't by the pool, beach, or visiting the sights in Galveston. The main living space was comfortable, and we were able to stock the kitchen for our stay and conveniently cook all our meals. The living area allowed for fun family nights of games and movies. This was our second stay and we plan to visit again.

Exceptional

It is hard to find a place for our family of teenagers where everyone sleeps comfortably that is also affordable. This was one of our best homes away from home to date. The location is great, far from the packed beach on the north end, we just strolled across the road, set up, and spent hours relaxing as a family. The hosts are very communicative, the house lacked nothing.

Walk to ocean!!

Great location! Quiet end of Galveston, easy walk to ocean. Home had great selection of beach toys, and a wagon to tote everything to the beach! House is just as described. Beds were super comfy, great for a large family/group. Loved the open loft area, and the double deck! Great communication with host. Great neighborhood, with great community pool. Would definitely recommend!

Terramar Beach

The beach house fit our families needs for our 2 week stay. We enjoyed the location, far enough away from the crowds in Galveston but yet close enough to enjoy a few meals in town along with some souvenir shopping.

Beach Trip With Teens!!!

I have two kids in college, and one going to high school next year! I wanted a family vacation, but knew it would be hard to pull the older two from their friends this summer (both back from college)! We found this house, and I loved the fact that the upstairs loft had three sets of bunk beds that could fit all of the kids (with their friends), while my husband and I slept downstairs! House was adorable, clean, and a good size for our party!!! I appreciate all of the kitchen supplies, beach accessories, and nice bottom floor for us to play corn hole, and BBQ. Walking distance to the beach (that wasn't packed with people)! We will stay here again!!!

Family fun vacation

We love this house. Stayed here last year. Everything is 5 star. They had new cleaning crew so they missed cleaning the downstairs bathroom. It is rustic anyway so not a big deal. Shana and Tony are the best hosts. The best at communicating with me. Will stay again. Love being able to walk to beach. Everything was great!

Amazing place to relax

Me and my kids spent spring break- the beach was an amazing place to relax. It was about 45 minutes to seawall but that was fine because we came to enjoy the beach and the house was clean and plenty of room for me and my kids. Will definitely come again.

Girls weekend

This place was perfect! Close enough to town but still secluded. Great location, and very clean. The view was amazing. They even sent videos about the house and operating appliances, door, ect. Very helpful! The host answered every question in a timely manner. We had and awesome time.

Great Location

The location and easy walk to the beach was great. Beach was private and great for families. House worked great and provided everything we needed. Communication with the owner was the best I've had in the years going to Galveston for a family get away.

Peaceful and Stunning!

This home is beautiful, spacious and at the end of a quiet street! The location is fantastic - loved being directly across from the beach which is not over crowded like most beaches. Awesome beach house

Drop Anchor was an awesome property. Hosts were very responsive. Only negative had nothing to do with property. Community pool is closed on Tuesday's. Seems like it should not need to be closed for an entire day for cleaning.

Great Location!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Anchor Beach house! The views were great and there's almost instant access to the beach. The location was perfect for our family as the distance was equal to the shops on the Strand and our favorite fishing spots. Loved the privacy as well, it's perfect if you're bringing a boat. The community pool was also a plus for us and the owners were more than accommodating.
