Amazing Stay!

My family and I were transported back in time while living in current luxury. Incredible memories were made, what a special weekend for us! Great hosts who were prompt and especially helpful with recommendations for places to eat. We loved it all!

Lovely Historical Getaway

A beautiful job was done preserving the historical aspects of the house while updating it with modern kitchen, bathrooms and living areas. We spent 4 nights enjoying the Galena area and one day just stayed in our jammies and enjoyed the house. We will be selecting this home again when we visit Galena.

Amazing home

This place is amazing. So much fun to "hang out" there, we almost didn't want to see the sites of Galena (but we did). Beds were extremely comfortable. Location was great, a short easy walk (half mile) to the middle of Main St. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Stay in Galena

Property could not have been nicer and the location could not have been better. Galena is a wonderful town and this house is the best place I have stayed while in the area. You can tell the hosts take a lot of pride in the up keep. Overall great stay - highly recommend.

Our stay was great. The house was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the house was well stocked.This house is a beautiful structure built in 1842. Tall windows, original floors and steep stairs. It is not for anyone with mobility issues.

Had a girls weekend getaway for my friends 40th. This property is absolutely beautiful and the basement is amazing! It's an easy walk to the downtown area and I would definitely stay here again in the future!

Look No Further‼

Just as the title, “Look No Further” states, if you are looking for a gorgeous, well maintained historic house that has all the modern upgrades anyone would need, but still maintains the time period of its past, this is definitely the house for you. Starting with the location, it’s just a couple of blocks from Main Street where all the shops, restaurants, bars and other action is. We have stayed in Galena on numerous occasions, but have not experienced anything close to this house in regards to amenities. The communication with Angela, the host/owner was second to none. We initially had a few questions and Angela responded very quickly via the VRBO app. This much needed getaway was for my Wife and I to set aside the daily stressors of life and this house was the perfect place to do that. As the pictures and descriptions depict, it is all that and more. It has (3) fully functioning fireplaces which definitely add to the ambiance. The shuffleboard game table was a bonus for our entertainment. The cleanliness of entire house was impeccable to the point that you could eat off the floor. Upon entering the house and looking around, we knew immediately that the housekeeper truly maintains high standards in her work ethics. Her attention to detail is very impressive and she needs to be acknowledged for her efforts and superior quality of work.We loved this house so much that on the very first day of our stay, we booked another date, this time to enjoy the house during summer.

Historic Property with Modern Conveniences

We had a wonderful weekend in Galena staying at this house. The house is beautiful and within walking distance of Main Street. Dinning room is great for playing cards. The beds are extremely comfortable too. We would absolutely stay here again!

Happy New Year!

Our small group of friends have been spending NYE together for decades and wanted something different and we found it. This home was beautiful, comfortable, and the kitchen provided what we needed to cook. Not that we did much cooking because it is also close to all the restaurants and grocery that one would need. I highly recommend staying in the beautiful home.

Lovely & historical in perfect location
