We extended our stay at Tarifito from 4 to 5 nights as it was our first time in Fukuoka. The hotel room is relatively large and clean with a cool Tatami theme. Opaque screens were used in place of sheers to provide privacy as the hotel is situated close to other towering hotels and apartments. It worked very well. The bath/shower room was large, separated from the sink and toilet. The service team was excellent, providing assistance whenever asked and provided a "welcome experience" each time we passed the lobby. The location is fabulous, minutes to the bus stop and metro station, Kushida Shrine, covered shopping corridors and Canal City Shopping complex with plenty of food options within a walking distance. The hotel provided complimentary hot beverages thoroughout the day as well as the usual endless supply of toiletries. It also had a public bath and laundry facitiies (we did not use). The only shortcoming for us was the breakfast, while it offered variety, it did not exactly suit our tastes. However, we did not go hungry. Lastly, while the hotel offered luggage shipping services within Fukuoka prefecture (but not to Tokyo). Nearby convenience store, however offer this service (Yamato Transport). Overall, we loved Fukuoka as a good third destination behind Osaka or Tokyo, if we go back, we would definitely stay at Torifito again.
