We booked this home for a special event with 9 guests traveling from multiple states. Prior to arrival, we raised concerns based on a previous review and were offered a backup property, which we accepted. However, we were not able to access that property until 1.5 hours after our scheduled check-in time, and communication during that delay was extremely poor—calls and messages went unanswered.When the host finally responded, we were given inconsistent information about the delay. We were then placed back into the original property we had concerns about.The condition of the property did not match the listing in multiple ways:Exterior appeared abandoned (overgrown grass, moldy siding, boarded windows, uneven driveway not as described) Cleanliness issues (floors were visibly dirty—walking barefoot turned feet black, surfaces not properly cleaned, dirty dishes left in dishwasher) Missing and inadequate amenities for 9 guests: Only 4 towels Only 2 coffee cups No bottled water as advertised Ice machine not working Coffee maker provided but no coffee Keurig pods provided but no Keurig (despite confirming this prior to arrival) Thermostat not functioning properly Minimal supplies (only half a roll of toilet paper per bathroom) These issues significantly impacted our stay and required us to adjust plans for a special event. The combination of delayed access, misrepresentation, lack of cleanliness, and missing basic amenities made the property not fit for use as advertised
