Comfortable room with cool vibe and easy access to several restaurants. Parking somewhat limited. Thankfully they DO provide ear plugs to help with the train that runs right next to the hotel.

Pretty clean. Restaurant and bar are closed. Carpet in our room was filthy and stained and I didn’t really want to walk on it barefoot. Bed seemed clean but mattress broken down. Beautiful old historic hotel.

Breakfast should have been included for the price paid. Also, your restaurant has been under renovation for quite some time??? There are several other stay options in Alpine that are a better value.

The property was very dirty, the carpets were disgusting, thick layers of dust on the walls, the TV wasn't working properly until I reset the Dish network box. We were under the impression there was a pool in the facility which was not the case. The restaurant attached to the hotel was closed.

Nice, convenient, historic old hotel

The Holland is a classic early 20th century hotel that’s got lots of original decor; the rooms are well appointed and the staff is friendly — we did, however have an issue with keeping our room warm enough (it seems like the hotel is probably poorly insulated as our heater ran all night but it was still probably only 55-60 when we got up (to be fair, it did get down to about 20 outside, but this also makes me wonder if you’d be able to keep the rooms cool in hotter weather)

We came in to Alpine on the train so it was very convenient (a short walking distance from the station). The property was old and historical but well kept. Probably the most inconvenient aspect was that it was not staffed after 7:00.

A stay in Alpine with two kids.

Beautiful main lobby. As you start looking you notice some issues. The outdoor patio could use some repair. Had a sign for a pop up bar in the evenings and it wasn’t the case. No restaurant I believe due to refurbishment. Not an issue for us, but the elevator was out of order. Could see that being an issue for others. Rooms were nice for it being a historical hotel. You can hear anyone talking in their rooms from the stair case. They offer earplugs in the room possibly for that but also for the train that passes across the street over night. Bathroom faucets covered in hard water deposit but the water pressure was magical. Was like being pressure washed but not painful. Probably our favorite aspect of the entire stay. Great after being at big bend all day. Mattresses are spring and could be replaced. Definitely old and reminds you that you’re getting old after a nice of sleeping on them. Barely move and you hear the mattress squeak. Location was nice in relevance of being easy to find and maneuver through town. Limited parking, if you don’t park out front of the hotel. Staff was nice.

Their elevator was broken and we had to haul luggage up to third floor. In Europe, to be expected, but a bit of disappointment here. Was thinking it would have been an excellent time to hire the volleyball, basketball and football team members to serve as porters. Otherwise, the room was nice.

Interesting place to stay. It is within walking distance to a variety of restaurants as well as coffee shops. Only big issue is that they do not have a night attendant at the front desk. Needed a blanket for the sleeper sofa and nothing was available. Made my night very uncomfortable.
