If you come here the weekend of the Air Show, you have front row seats for the pool deck. And in the shade you have the beach breeze! A year-round terrific choice!

The room is starting to show its age. I’ve stayed here several times in the past, but unfortunately I no longer feel it offers good value for the price. I was also disappointed to see additional charges for Wi-Fi, especially on top of a mandatory “resort fee.” It feels like unnecessary nickel-and-diming. In my opinion, these costs should simply be included in the room rate rather than adding an extra $25–$35 per guest per night. That said, if you do choose to stay here, I highly recommend connecting with Sean on staff. He is genuinely one of the nicest and most attentive staff members I’ve encountered. Whether you need assistance within the hotel or recommendations and arrangements for a restaurant, he goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable.

The Maren was a perfect stay for our long weekend, the rooms were fabulous, the beach was just a few steps away, with many shops and restaurants only a short walk (0.2 mi) down the street. The pool area was clean and well maintained, with a bar and food service right there. The room cost was about half that of the Ritz a couple of blocks away, but I doubt if it was twice as nice as the Maren. Our room was on the marina side, which honestly was more interesting than looking out over the ocean!

Yes, the staff was very polite especially Anika at the front desk. The hotel did not have foam pillow and because of that I didn’t get a good nights sleep! How can a Curio hotel not have a foam pillow option?

The staff was very friendly. The bell hop (Sean) was super helpful and very attentive as were the valet. The amenities were ok nothing to brag about. The room was clean. The hotel is dated and the lounge chairs were old and the pool and beach as well. Very convenient location. As per the staff as I pointed out before, they were very nice.
