Upon entering the home, there was a moldy musty smell covered by bleach. Allegedly, the cleaning people had just been there but there was mold in the shower and hair on the floor of the shower! There was also dark brown substance on the light switch, not even sure what that was. Owner tried to tell me it was wear and tear, but a hotel shower sees more traffic and doesn’t even look like that. There were stains all over the furniture, it was so dirty. The home was also not as close to the areas it claimed to be. Took a while to get ahold of the host, and get things semi resolved, and of course they wouldn’t give us a full refund. Had my pregnant sister in law with me, and we had to book a hotel as she couldn’t breathe because of the smell, and it became a health hazard for us all. Originally tried to cancel our trip due to a family emergency, host said no refund, because he had to book a hotel for the weekend for his family, and we made arrangements to come anyway and try to make the best of our trip. What a disappointment that was. Turns out the owner of this property lives in Canada, so he’s probably never even seen the house himself. He had a property manager contacting us and he was no help either. Had to also contact VRBO for instructions to get in the house because the host didn’t answer for hours, now knowing what I know it was because of the time difference with him being in Canada. Definitely wouldn’t recommend this place, as it’s just simply not advertised properly.
