15mins walk from the central station to the hotel, tourist spots are all walkable in the city. It is more like a hostel than a hotel, a bit old and not much furnishing but generally is clean and cosy. We did not see the balcony view as the website shown and actually we did not have a view from the window as the building we facing is renovating. small lift can barely carry 2 people with 2 standard suitcases the max and it runs quite slow... nice to have welcome drinks in the library lab, a nice place to talk and drink.

It is an amazing location however if you are a light sleeper you should bring ear plugs. Please note our room was very close to the Piazza so that could have been a factor otherwise very spacious and helpful staff, small elevator but it was fine and functional.

The Royal treatment at the Artists Palace!

What a wonderful find! This was the perfect location— easy walks to all the memorable Florence sites. The staff was super gracious and helpful. They seemed pleased to offer advice and directions— even in English! Our room was comfortable and had everything we needed! We would definitely stay here again!

Great place to stay

Excellent central location, just steps away from main attractions and choice of restaurants. Easy walk from train station. Our room overlooked courtyard and was very quiet. Beautiful view from hotel balcony. Lovely quiet bar in the old library. Quirky old property with good amenities and clean rooms.

Lovely Place to Stay

This hotel was fantastic. The AC worked so well we had to turn it off in the middle of the night as it was too cold. The room was comfortable, the bathroom shower pressure was the best we’ve had in all of Italy. It was close to lots of restaurants and incredible history within a few steps from the entrance. There were lots of street performers in the area that made for so much fun and entertainment and yet when we went to our room at night it was quiet and comfortable. We will be staying here again for sure.
