"A classic resort-type property from the mid 20th century, now peripheral to, and well separated from, a mega-casino, this hotel was surprisingly well equipped and affordable for a mid-trip overnight. Large rooms, well maintained, friendly staff, indoor pool, walking trails (including to said casino if that’s your thing) I felt like I was in a time warp to a Grand Hotel from the 1950s. Without Jack Nicholson of course. Hinckley is one of those super-sleepy farming towns that could be anywhere around The Great Lakes. A couple local joints to eat, a fire museum and of course the casino. Without the last one, it seems like it might be in its final generation but there’s this hotel too. Super-chill, and a bit memorable."
