Suðurgata is a detached, 19th century stone-built cottage which stands by the Atlantic ocean of the quiet, rural sea village of Eyrarbakki, only 40 minutes drive from Reykjavík. It have all been renovated and refurbished in romantic stile. Sudurgata is a well-equipped and welcoming cottage with beautiful furnishings. It is an ideal holiday cottage for a family, or a couple seeking a romantic break in Iceland. The property is located just a few steps away from the magnificent Atlantic ocean only 1 min to beach. Good views and peaceful location. A short drive of around 40 minutes from your Seaside cottage will bring you to the major tourist attractions in South Iceland. At the end of the day, return to this welcoming cozy Seaside cottage and relax.
Sudurgata cottage offers two double bedrooms, 200cm x140cm and 180cm x130cm. In the smaller bedroom is a wardrobe. There is also a nice and cozy living, dining area and well equipped kitchen with all conceivable cookware, crockery, glassware. Down stairs is a washing machine and a beautiful and romantic bathroom with bathtub scented oils and bath salts, basin and WC. Beside the bathtub is a rocking chair and candles all around. Outside is an open garden with a private patio, garden furniture and a gas BBQ. From where the garden ends you only have a few steps to the magnificent Atlantic ocean.
Grocery store and restaurant are in the village. Local supermarkets and shops in Selfoss within 15 minutes drive. Swimming pool in Stokkseyri within 5 minutes drive.

Perfect Location to Explore Iceland
Super little cottage with everything you need for a cosy stay in Iceland. The cottage is in the perfect location by the sea in a quiet little village. It is just over an hours drive from the REK airport and on the doorstep to access all the great natural wonders Iceland has to offer. The host is very nice and very helpful to ensure your stay in Iceland is the best it could be. Highly recommended!

This cozy little cottage next to the ocean is a great get away! It is conveniently located for sightseeing around the Golden Circle. We had some breathtaking northern lights there also. I really appreciated how extremely helpful Margret is! I would love to stay there again if I had the opportunity.

Honeymoon Vacation
The property was very clean and the location was great as we wanted to tour Iceland on our honeymoon. Host was easy to contact and gave us great information for our stay.
The only negatives we had were that the listing wasn't clear. When we booked, we thought we'd be getting the bigger cottage with the washing machine and dryer but didn't find out that it wasn't included till after we booked. We also didn't have wifi in the cottage as it was disconnected by a previous guest.
The cottage we stayed in (the one bed/one bath) is small but good for a few days.

Perfectly described cozy cottage
Everything you need is in this home; it is warm, a great place to lay your head for a great night's sleep or sit on the porch with your hot chocolate and watch the northern lights. It was as described and we were very happy with the owners and home!

Lovely little place!
This is a cute little place! It’s located near to a nice city, but gets you away from town and towards a lovely isolated little getaway. It’s clean and the manager is lovely. I got to pet a neighborhood cat, which is always a plus.

Romantisches kleines Cottage
Sehr liebevoll eingerichtetes altes Fischer-Häuschen. Sehr klein, aber gemütlich. Küche hat Backofen, aber nur 2 Kochplatten. Für 2 Personen ausreichend. Gute Lage um den Golden Circle zu besuchen, bis nach Vik zu fahren oder nach Reykjavik.
