I booked for three nights, but changed my mind and checked out after the 1st night. I contacted Orbitz to cancel the reminding 2 nights in the evening. The inn manager already got off from work. But she called me early next day morning. She canceled the remaining 2 nights and did not charge the 2 nights I did not stay. I am very appreciated the manager did this without me reasoning with her.

The location right next to the beach was great but that was the only good thing. The bedding had holes in it and very worn out. The lobby was cold and unwelcoming. There was no actual front desk just a kiosk which was the first red flag.

There was no hot water in the bathroom sink no matter how long you let it run for. The TV did not work. There were no channels available the whole time I was there, and I got no sleep because every time the heating unit kicked on it made a horrible loud rattling noise.

Had a nice view of the beach and water. Property is in good repair and very clean. I thought check-in was a little awkward but that was the first time I ever checked in over video and not in person. Breakfast consisted of energy bars and small packaged muffins. Not bad but I'm not sure I'd call it breakfast. However, I would stay there again.

Unusual check-in procedure

Everything you needed was here so I can recommend it but be prepared for a most bizarre check-in procedure. A very friendly human but checking you in via a computer terminal and quite difficult acoustically to understand in an echoey reception room. Also the only hotel on our trip, which struggled to refund our deposit so I had to chase that but eventually they did. would’ve been better if they told me rather than me have to chase. Enjoy your stay.

Bed was hard as a rock, no give at all. Try to speak with check in person and an automatic image was trying to do the same both at once. Very confusing. Bathroom in room had a sink that wouldn't drain, shower has no pressure, and Im a professional plumber. No I wouldn't fix it..I was on vacation. Not my job. No standard of a decent hotel. Just run it in the ground..

Nice large room. Decent bed. Good value. Weird checking in with a virtual agent. There are Tesla destination chargers on site. No mention in the promo on Expedia. The virtual agent upon hearing that we drove a Tesla made no mention of them. Pretty dumb. We had just charged up at a Tesla supercharger Expedia needs to do a better job of highlighting ev charging at the lodgings that have it available. It's super important for anyone on an EV road trip.

The Anchor Beach Inn was a pleasant surprise. We had a nicely renovated room which was quite large with an ocean view. Check in was a bit different with dealing with a live person on a computer portal machine. The breakfast was all we needed with some grab and go items. We will definitely stay here again if we are going through Crescent City.

What a nice place to stay for a great price! This location has a beautiful view of the ocean and is close to a few restaurants walking distance. Enjoyed staying here, friendly staff and clean. Close to the redwoods. Would highly recommend!

Perfectly pleasant place to stay. Room was quite large and easy to navigate. Shower was good. Able to take the dog easily out and to the beach. Now the coffee and breakfast weren’t much, but really, the sleeping part was great!
