A Pleasant man who runs the desk and serves breakfast welcomed us warmly. Breakfast was a nice spread of lots of pastries. It was Easter and the spread was generous. Breakfast is served in the basement. There are windows so at least it wasn’t dark. The hotel was full. The rate was high in comparison to what we were able to get elsewhere in Sicily. We came for the Good Friday procession and the location of the hotel was perfect for us. Parking right out front. Walkable to restaurants and sights. The room needed maintainance. A few issues that could easily be fixed. One bottle of water for our three day visit. Next to nothing for toiletries. One small pillow for each person. The small things do matter when you pay $185C per nt.

A proper family hotel.

A proper hotel.. Yes, the lift spluttered and choked llike a heavy smoker waking in the morning, yes the wifi didn't work well, but the staff were friendly and personable, the room comfortable, the location ideal, the breakfast varied, plentiful, and enjoyable. If you are tired of the bland branded hotel experience, and actually just want to stop at a nice place, with character, then I would highly recommend a visit.

This is a basic hotel but good value for money. The staff are wonderful and friendly. Be careful on the lanes around the hotel if driving. I managed to put a massive dent in the side of our hire car when leaving. Parking is ok though.

Front desk service was not very good. It took about 10 minutes to get check in upon arrival as no one was at the front the desk. Hot water ran out quickly. The hotel was fine for a one night stay, that's all.

This hotel is good for the price. It can be difficult to find if you are not paying attention to the GPS, which is hard to do if you have driven in Italy and their very narrow streets. One issue; there was no hot water when we arrived and it took about a 1/2 hour for them to turn on the water heater or fix it.

Gets away with a lot for lack of competition

We arrived at a busy time for the reception desk which at the time was staffed by the hotel cleaner and a girl on work experience. They were very friendly and helpful but had been badly let down by more qualified staff. There were a number of minor maintenance issues that hadn't been fixed such as a flickering light in the corridor, the fact that the door to our room was impossible to lock unless slammed hard and the bathroom door needed to be pushed hard to open it properly. The room itself was comfortable but the breakfast was disappointing - there seemed to be no fresh bread or fresh fruit juice.

Extremely pleasant. The staff were helpful in arranging a taxi to take a day trip to three major archeological sites and identifying excellent restaurants.

Don't go to Bristol

Bad experience. On arrival door locked. 15-20 minutes to get in. Phone numbers on door didn't connect. Common bathroom light didn't work no toilet paper. Wifi didn't work. Staff refused to acknowledge issues. I left. Don't go. They don't understand customer service. English limited.

Interesting stay

The hotel is quite big but is very reasonably priced. The rooms were clean and we had a good view over the town, when the clouds cleared away! It is easy to get around the old town from the hotel and for the price it is a good place.

Stay at home while you are away from home

This is a small, family owned and operated hotel. By no means can it be compared to a large hotel chain. The daily breakfast was wonderful, with a large selection of freshly baked cakes, sweets, cereals, meats, cheeses, breads. Then there was the coffee. Real Italian coffee. Custom made Cappucinos, ask for the doppio, it is delicious. The staff treat you like family. I visited with my family, and it felt like being at home away from home. I would return to this quaint hotel every time.

Ok si vous avez un sommeil de plomb...

Impossible de dormir après 6h du matin a cause du bruit de l'ascenseur : les portes font du bruit et il y a un bip qui retentit dès que quelqu'un monte dans l'ascenseur.... Il faut donc avoir un sommeil de plond !! Les + : - Personnel très accueillant et sympathique. - Petit déjeuner correct. Les - : - bruit de l'ascenseur - douche froide en arrivant le soir (obligé de descendre à l'accueil pour demander ce qu'il se passe).
