My room smelled like a wet dog. Staff sprayed air freshener with no success. I asked for a new room and was told I could not be moved as the system could not move me as I booked on Expedia. Lots of rooms available - but the system wouldn’t do it. I am a long time Hilton Rewards member. I’m frustrated!

Hampton Inn Edenton

Our stay in the cute little town of Edenton was great. They were able to reserveva ground floor room which is great since we were traveking with our handicapped adult daughter who does not do well with stairs..This would be an issue if elevator was closed in emergency situation. Only negative was a loud heating system that went off about every 2 hours and sounded like a freight train for a few minutes.

Get new beds and pillows

The hotel was clean the staff was overall very nice but the bed was terrible. My wife and I had the worst night of sleep we’d had in years. The bed was so uncomfortable and pillows were flat and neither of them offered any support. The main reason for the trip was an overnight trip to Edenton. We had a great experience in town and the hotel except for the bed. The staff, breakfast and cleanliness were all great.

Everything was ok. I was unable to add my Hilton Honors account to my stay. I was told that due to being booked by a third party, that I couldn't. However, I frequently stay at other Hilton hotel locations (Hampton Inn) for work, booked the exact same way each time, and was allowed to add my honors account.
