Budget hotel.

This is a budget hotel. You get what you pay for. Overall, the room was fine. It was large with high ceilings. Windows could not be opened. Curtains just about able to close and missing a few hooks! Adequate storage and hanging space for an overnight stay. Enough sockets. Beds: very comfortable with clean linen. Bathroom: clean where it needed to be! Attention to cleanliness, i.e. hoovering could be better! The water pressure in our room was very low. Told receptionist who sent a man up within minutes. Problem could not be resolved so they gave us the use and option of using/moving to another room with a proper shower. Problem solved. Breakfast was until 10 and was buffet style, with freshly cooked items constantly being replenished. It was perfectly adequate with choices of juices, cereals and cooked food. Tea and coffee. Please don’t expect a gastronomic delight, but it really was fine. Lastly, the staff. They were all very friendly, happy, approachable and helpful. Free parking is on road, but a few minutes walk away. I would stay here again.

Nice location with easy walk to the Eastbourne Pier etc. Friendly staff. Very plain rooms no art, poorly done paint job. Clean bed and sheets though which is most important really!

This is by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed in in my entire life. I read the review and there was some good ones so I said let me try it. When I got there I met fake nails and eye lashes and toys and other stuff in the room that didn’t belong to me. I informed the receptionist she said she will get someone to clean. The following day I went out and came back after 6 hrs and the room was still in the same state. No cleaning. Then I went back down stairs informed them that the room is still dirty they then sent someone to hoover the room! On my second morning there someone came knocking after 6 in the morning. Woke me up, then the person said it was a mistake, another knock again after 7. Same person. Saying it’s a mistake. The hotel is very untidy and unkempt. I will never go back to this hotel and everyone should do the same.

Avoid and believe the bad reviews.

If i could rate this a zero i would. Read the bad reviews and believe them. Reception is decorated lovely and gives a great first impression and corridors, stairs clearly had new carpet.... that is where it ends. I moved rooms twice and had to pay to get into the third room. Think old university halls of residence being amazing compared to this. Rooms and corridors smell of cigarette smoke , no hot water, paint splashes on everything , tv remotes look like they have been dug up , stained sheets, uncomfortable mattresses, bar poorly stocked ( barman said he was embarrassed to be there), reception not manned. Dirty plates and tables left in the restaurant . Ants in the rooms. I could go on. I was told it was undergoing refurbishment and not all rooms were done, this should be made clear on booking. The last room i went into had been re done allegedly, window wouldn"t stay open and one wouldnt open, cracked , filthy and covered in paint. Finished to a very poor standard with bare splintered wood showing. Thick dust on ledges and skirting. Room not cleaned daily as advertised. Out of date coffee sachets in the room.The managers/owners sat drinking all night in the bar and were very stand offish when I complained refusing to accept anything was wrong. 3 times checked my hot water and just kept telling me I had to go and run it ,left for 10 mins and still cold. It does not deserve the 3 star rating. The pictures on the site are completely deceiving . Spend your money elsewhere.

A bit lacking in some areas.

There was some hotel maintenance being done so only a few rooms were occupied, minimal staff to keep it open. Some housekeeping was a bit random, no soap, and only one t bag. Also lots of signs warning of hot water in bathroom but in the morning there wasn't any!
